I thought I had fallen out of love with Metroidvanias but this is sooooo good, I'm back into them! I nearly didn't buy it at all, really glad I did. I'm a few hours in and it seems to be constantly evolving, never getting boring (although I did get hopelessly stuck once and had to resort to YouTube for pointers).

Well I'm not sure what those holy shit moments were supposed to be... admittedly I should probably watch some trailers but going on the list of games that appeared over night (well done @mmmark) I'm not seeing them. Closest for me I guess is probably the Onimusha revival.

I’m really enjoying this, much more than I expected, probably because I was expecting a more generic action adventure, shooting bad guys and stuff, but we got some sort of stealth exploration game with puzzles and disguises and occasional fisticuffs. So yeah probably enjoying it because I like stealth games and don’t feel like we get many stealth games. Although the stealth isn’t amazing and yeah we’ve seen all this stuff before, but its put together in a nice package here and all the different parts fit together well. You can most likely play it more aggressively if you want I guess but yeah I’m sticking to hiding, not sure I’ve used the gun at all.
