radiofloyd
A co-op focused Fromsoft game seems like a no-brainer.
Maf
But you’re not playing the game right if you summon weak-ass players
one-armed dwarf
Sorta Metal Gear Survive vibes with this, feels like a random collection of 'fuck it' ideas. Like fighting that Dark Souls 3 boss randomly, Gwyn on the dragon or whatever it is Looks cool tho and more likely I'd play this than any other Souls game cause it looks like you can style on fools in this, rather than doing tedious boss fight homework. Hopefully there's a beta
HandsomeDead
Oh no, there's a chance this co-op remix could pull attention away from a full fledged Monster Hunter. It does look like that's what it's going for.
Maf
https://www.eurogamer.net/elden-ring-co-op-spin-off-nightreign-network-test-announced-and-you-can-register-for-it-soon Network test in Feb 25 but you have to sign up for it in Jan 25. I'm not going to jump through these hoops for a demo for a game I will definitely buy
one-armed dwarf
This game is scaled for one or three players, but not two https://www.pcgamer.com/games/rpg/the-game-director-of-elden-ring-nightreign-has-delivered-an-ultimatum-to-gaming-couples-everywhere-find-a-third-wheel-or-play-by-yourself/ Weird, but I also found with Elden Ring that the game's boss fights did not have interesting interactions when more than one person was fighting them, so it sounds like they're doing a highly specific thing here with their encounter design where bosses actually react to three people. From this quote, it sounds like the scale of the fights might be massive and that this is why it's either big group or loner. Maybe Quote However, Ishizaki goes on to explain the thought process behind having three players: "This was largely a game balancing decision, rather than a game design decision … [there] was like a sweet spot with three players in order for it not to feel too overwhelming or too busy. It allowed each player to potentially go off on their own and cover a bit of the map." I think this game sounds really interesting in an offbeat kinda way, feels like a strange PS2 experiment. OCH
I guess that's why the wolf boss in the trailer split into three? It says solo play though, which is all I ever want from a Souls game. Definitely intrigued by the Birdman. It gives me Shining Force vibes.
