Need to see a hell of a lot more than that to make those types of comments... I have faith in Naughty Dog with how well The Last Of Us 2 played but we'll see.

Inspired by Akira and Cowboy Bebop apparently, that sounds interesting. Again tho, sort of looks like it's going to be a bit Souls-ey

 

So dunno, definitely looks much more interesting than recent ND stuff tho.

It's an interesting teaser and I'm interested.  Maybe it's just nice seeing something new from ND.

Yeah, if its as Souls as it looks in the very brief gameplay I'll probably skip it. There's a long way to go before that point though

You could hold off until the remaster which will be announced at next years show.

There's not much to go on in terms of gameplay but I would guess it's more DMC than Souls. There seems to be big emphasis on the weapon she's using.

 

Got to be a 2025 release looking at it. 

 

Maybe it's just me but does it not look quite as expensive as a PS game usually does? Not that it looks cheap, but it's doesn't look like a 200 million bananas thing

A DMC style action game with Naughty Dog budget would rocket the PS5 from my least fave to most fave Sony system, all by itself. 

 

But I'm pretty sure Neil was talking major stuff about how inspired he was by Bloodborne, and so that's more what I expect here. I love Bloodborne but I'm checked out on its genre now.

Im not sure about at 2025 release, im hedging bets towards late 26 early 27. 

 

Like its aesthetic, and nice to see ND tackle something new.

I really liked the soundtrack for this one, sounds genuinely excellent with an instantly recognisable main theme. On the other hand not feeling the product placement, that Porsche logo just pulled me out of the illusion completely.

 

It's a promising looking game though, and for lack of a better term it's cool to see ND tackle a more 'videogamey' project again. The name is a bit unfortunate though, I think there's a TV show with the same title and also a Netflix movie called Entergalactic that even uses a similar font. Ultimately irrelevant of course, but still.

The product placement made me curious about the world.  When the game comes out we'll see how it's handled but it was intriguing to me.  It's apparently set in an alternative 80s where they have advanced space travel so I hope it comes together in an interesting way, like I liked it in Blade Runner, it adds a twisted familiarity.  Maybe it would have been too much but I wish the Porsche spaceship had more Porsche design motifs because it does look like the ship was already designed and they shopped around for the best brand they could get.
