The PS2 version of Berserk. I played this years ago via a dodgy copy, it's post Golden Age, which is a rare treat and it's a mashy hack & slash. one-armed dwarf Posted September 20, 2022 Share Posted September 20, 2022 Back when I was thinking of getting into Berserk I was looking at lots of Berserk media and this game was one of them. It had one of the more interesting applications of great sword combat, you can see they really put thought into the idea that Guts is literally throwing his entire body into danger just to swing his sword It also has this cool opening theme This is why I don't like the idea of FROM handling a Berserk game, I don't know if they would have the right idea for how the combat would work, great swords in their games feel like they are made from Styrofoam. I loved Returns so will have to make time for this. I also got Trails From Zero which is supposed to be really good. Popular Post DANGERMAN Posted October 11, 2022 Popular Post Share Posted October 11, 2022 More Dreamcast stuff Urban Chaos was notable for being a bit of a 3D GTA before 3D GTA, or at least it was compared to GTA, I always thought it was more of an action game, but it has open areas from what I remember. It was also notable for being one of the very few games with a black protagonist, and a black woman at that Crazy Taxi 2 I've been after for ages, it's not hugely expensive but it's been more than I wanted to spend. Finally saw an auction for it that hadn't climbed too high so picked it up. I've not played it, I think I played a demo back in the day, the new feature was the crazy jump as a button press rather than a glitch Also Wacky Races, disc only, but again it's not especially cheap. It's got 3 USB ports on the back, HDMI and display ports, and an ethernet port. I'm excited to start The Diofield Chronicle after hearing Mike Mahardy talk about it on Fire Escape podcast.
