Weren’t Sony responsible for the Chipmunks and Smurf movies? I’m Done with this thread I can’t take anymore. You should play up a video game to it's strengths IE aesthetic tone, setting etc A Live Action film for human characters, in a real world setting, makes sense for an adaptation. Maf Posted May 3, 2019 Share Posted May 3, 2019 A Sonic movie could be amazing but prerequisites are 100% animated It has to be about nature and protecting the environment The story has to be a ‘race’ for something with mystery like Indiana Jones Sonic is always paired up with a character so he doesn’t have to talk until right at the end The humour needs to very slapstick and visual based Recontextualising Sonic things like rings, lampposts, special zones and his trainers so they make sense in the story I’m telling you I could make a Sonic movie that would make you cry, laugh and masturbate all at the same time Like 3 of the biggest lore things in Sonic come from cinema, anyway. The Death Egg from Star Wars, Metallix from Terminator, and Super Sonic from Dragon Ball Z. The only thing you couldn’t directly do is Colourful Stones that grant infinite amounts of power because a movie came out last week that did that. However, I’ve no idea how that’d actually look in a real world backdrop. Really it needed to be a animated thing, in a similar vein to Spider-Verse IMO. Why they’re trying to set it in the real world I’ve no idea. Although the Pokemon look horrifying but somehow great in Detective Pikachu so it could work.
