Maryokutai
Usually not one to drool over hardware pieces like this but the fact that it unlocks on equalizer in the Xbox OS is pretty cool. One thing that bothers me with these wireless headsets though is that you have a device receiving and transmitting signals very close to your brain for prolonged periods of time. Am I paranoid? Are there any studies about that kind of thing? I've always used wired headsets for that reason.
Sly Reflex
You, your parents and their parents dealt with it as well. Signals going through the air don't present any harm.
mfnick
Wow!! Almost bought Art of Rally a couple of times glad I didn’t now.
Maryokutai
Totally forgot to watch this, will have to look up some of this. And Sable still hasn't a release date? They're really taking their time. Also happy to see Lake is coming to Xbox, unless that was already known and I forgot.
Maryokutai
Really cool for Mirror's Edge. That game was aiming for 60 but never really got there. Might replay that whenever I get a Series X (and ignore the side missions this time for a better experience).
Maryokutai
Yeah, but wouldn't it just simply run at a stable 60 if my TV doesn't?

Maryokutai
The first one's already big, Alien: Isolation at 60fps. That game was super sluggish on Xbox One and IIRC also never got an X patch as the development team was already gone by that point. Life is Strange is a weird one to add but why not. Lots of UbiSoft Open world titles in there as well.
Maryokutai
I honestly wouldn't even expect anything about Gears 6 at next year's E3. My only fear is that by the time it comes out Series S will already be huffing and puffing so I hope that system doesn't hold them back too much. On the other hand, Gears 5 looked sublime even on Standard Xbox One so maybe they're just a magical team.
Maryokutai
Jesus, what's going on with those system updates lately? I think I've had to download three in barely twice as many weeks. It wouldn't bother me too much if they didn't take so friggin' long. Just a little one of 500MB or something take almost twenty minutes to "verify" and "install". It's really annoying when you have an hour left to play something and a third of that gets wasted by these stupid updates.
Popular Post Whiskey_chaser
I've been eyeing up a Series X for a while. Gamepass is getting too good a deal to ignore and got to give credit where's it's due for the FPS boosts. Quick look on curries and it's in stock. Long story short, I now have a Series X winging its way to me tomorrow.
DisturbedSwan
Seems the stock situation on the Series X/S side is getting better. I've been eyeing up an SX myself the past couple of weeks but have always managed to talk myself out of it. I get barely enough time to play the games I already have so it was the sensible decision. Hoping they'll do some kind of special edition when Starfield drops, that's likely when I'll pick one up, maybe after November when my PS5 finance is all paid off, we'll see.
Maryokutai
I've seen Series S lying around here for a while in certain stores. I get the feeling that system is going to be dead weight in the years to come. I might hop on the Series X train sooner than expected as well, possibly. It takes over 3 minutes from booting up the game until you can move your character in LiS2 on my base Xbox One.
bellow
I certainly am. I have no complaints about the way my one X has been performing, having said that.
Popular Post Whiskey_chaser
I'm not sure if this is the place for it, but I just have to post how impressed I am with the Series X so far. I've had a PS5 since the start of the year and I have to be honest, from a Hardware perspective, the Series X is the superior console. I can't get over how quiet this thing is. The PS5 doesn't make a lot of noise, but the X is completely silent. I wouldn't even know it was on if it wasn't for the light. That's not an exaggeration either. The set up was ridiculously simple, and I was playing Forza Horizon on my phone with a couple of button presses. Mind blown. It's not even a top end Smart Phone either, it's a battered old S7. Quick Resume is impressive as well. PS5 has the Switcher but that doesn't really work and only seems to be limited to two apps. I also loved how it automatically imported all save data from PC versions of the games as well. I'd say that the thing the PS5 has going for it is the controller. It's leaps and bounds above the XBox controller but I guess that's down to preference. Also - GamePass is amazing. The fact I'm not going to have to pay for any first-party titles or any forthcoming Bethesda games still makes me feel MS are getting the raw end of a deal here. So yeah, looking forward to spending more time with this.

Maryokutai
Could be interesting, if nothing else to finally see how much Infinite has improved (or not). It would be nice to see something more substantial about Perfect Dark, Everwild and Fable but I don't want to get my hopes up. I feel like even without Covid these games would be far away. one-armed dwarf
Dolby Vision exclusive to xbox for 2 years https://news.xbox.com/fr-fr/2021/05/31/decouvrez-dolby-vision-et-dolby-atmos/ Awaiting the argument that says how this is a good thing for consumers (tbh, I actually don't care cause I can't for the life of me tell the difference between DV and other stuff, it all looks the same to me)
