one-armed dwarf
Altho dated in some aspects Planescape has maybe the best writing I've seen in a fantasy game. Very vivid dark fantasy. Shit combat though Invest in the speech/charisma stats, not the fighting ones
shinymcshine
I played a bunch of PC CRPGs 2000-2010, so Baldurs Gate, BG2, Pools of Radiance Myth Drannor, Temple of Elemental Evil, Neverwinter Nights, Wizardry 8, Divine Divinity, Dungeon Siege, Arx Fatalis, Morrowind, Oblivion and even for a good while Guild Wars. Unfortunately for me, despite its numerous plaudits, I never really warmed to Planescape Torment - it felt like too much reading and talking and not enough action. Maf
Is Streets of Rage 4 good on Switch? Because it’s £12 right now https://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/nintendo-switch-streets-of-rage-4-ps1125-at-nintendo-eshop-3998725 Apparently it left Gamepass in April but if it runs well on Switch it’s probably more suitable there anyway
Maf
I found an excellent website this morning that seems to automatically track the prices of Switch games on the eShop and big online stores like Amazon and Game https://www.dekudeals.com/ Much better than using the actual Switch store which is hassle. There might be better deals online from smaller retailers. But as a first check for a game, especially without having to use the eShop directly, this seems really good
retroed
Shamelessly stolen this screenshot from Hot UK Deals. 3DS eShop deals, some the lowest they've ever been. I might grab a couple before they're gone for good.

shinymcshine
Wow Nintendo, you're really nailing those discounts for these (rather old) games.......🤣
HandsomeDead
Even when they were closing the digital store first party Nintendo games still didn't discount more than 30% No grace for the brokies.
Maryokutai
All the SteamWorld games are on sale right now, even including the very recently released Heist II (which unfortunately must mean it didn't do very well). The Dig games are the popular choice of course, but my recommendations would be both Heist titles and Quest.
Pikman
I tried the first Heist game, didn't really get it. It seemed like more of a point and click with no challenge? Dig was fun Edit: I really wanted to try build but the reviews (on Switch) were 'meh'
Maryokutai
3 hours ago, Pikman said: point and click with no challenge 😮 Honestly can't remember the difficulty level of the first, but the second one is pretty challenging during its first 10-ish hours. Subsequent party upgrades make it easier as you go along, though there's always the difficulty modifiers.
Maryokutai
Oxenfree and Oxenfree II are on sale for 1 and 2 bucks respectively (also on PSN). I think the first one is excellent, haven't played the second one, so that was an easy and quick purchase.
