I want to be able to hold the PS button to have the option to power off etc. like the PS4 does. Instead of having to scroll all the way to the right and press multiple buttons. Be nice if I could customise and choose what appeared on the bar which appears when I press the PS button too so I can easily access trophies - was a right pain when I was finishing Bugsnax and Astro. I know you can customise it at the moment but only with very limited options.

40 hours in and only just realised I can swap party members during a battle *facepalm*. Even though I’ve gone to the “Etc.” Option a few times the tag out option just never registered. Only thanks to a optional battle requirement telling me not to swap that I realised. I’m a idiot. This changes everything.

Glad you liked it so much. After Remake 1 and the OG Resi 2 this is my favourite. I didn’t really have issue with the part you did but I did think Overall though I don’t think those parts really hurt the experience.

I’m quite a bit through Chapter 10 now. Firstly, thanks for the advice regarding doing the stock market stuff. I can imagine some of these sections could have been really hard without the 4th person. I also got a bit obsessed and ended up completing the stock market thing, I’d say it’s worth doing for the extra skills it gives you as they’re properly powerful as well as the dough. Only took me about 2-3 hours so worth it. Secondly.

I tried the demo. It’s rubbish. Just doesn’t feel good to play at all, the movement is really slow and just feels off. It’s also really childish, as I’m it doesn’t feel like it’s for adults at all. The idea is sound and having the different abilities set to costumes is interesting, as is the way the world bends and forms around you - used to solve a ball puzzle at one point. But I wouldn’t recommend to anyone over 10 years old based on the demo.

Yea, said same in the Disney + thread. Not bothered about SW at all but really liked this. Apart from the final scene with the worst CGI ever. Disappointed to hear they’re doing a Season 3 though. I think it ended really well, it was complete. No need for another.

Same. Ellie is still my girl but I ended up liking Abby far more than I ever expected. Quite an accomplishment when I originally wanted to rip her to shreds.

This looks like a game a lot of people will slag off for being dated in the gameplay department with it being compared to old 90’s m horror games, but it’s for that exact reason I think I’ll love it.

Watched the actual GoTY. I really like the best 7/10 and finish in 1 night categories. Smart. Although Resi 3 is a bit of a stretch being in the 1 night category. I really wish GB would do a proper edited video of their category noms and winners plus top 10 or their individual top 10’s like this where they include video footage. They’re like a budget company in that respect, just about every other GOTY video out there puts the effort in, they seem lazy in comparison.

Isn’t the 2nd - when these are available - the date when Control gets its next gen update too? That’s even better.

Yea I’m hearing it’s heavily influenced by the old school resident Evils and Silent Hills. Semi fixed cameras and those old style RE puzzles. More suspenseful with very little combat and only about 7 hours long too. Excellent! Pre loading now as well.

Got around to trying this on the Series X. It’s so much better now. The initial load is still relatively long but once you’re in the game it loads really fast now. Jumped around a couple of tracks in adventure mode and they now load pretty much instantly and the restart race loads are actually instant. I may actually have the will to finish it now, it makes a huge difference. When the quick resume actually works the initial load is obviously not a issue either.

The cubes? Yep they’re a real cunt, main issue is having all the harder regular enemies there too. Ended up having to give in and use the sentinel armour to beat it. Same with the final boss. Biggest issue with the DLC are those 2 bosses. Shame as the 3rd level is great.

Good God that looks so good. I have one of these but I couldn’t get on with it. I may have to try again just because, well look at it. In depth SP content and the training stuff sound promising too.

I was wondering if I might need a more elemental build or something as some enemies are very resistant to regular attacks. Might check a couple just in case then buy sounds like I’m for the most part. Cheers. What about the business and stock market stuff?

Onto chapter 7 now. Still adoring it. Do I need to pay attention to the job and stock market stuff? Regarding jobs, it’s a weird mental thing for me but Kasuga is a DQ fan and therefore a hero, a lot of his story is around this, Adachi is a ex cop so that’s his job - just feels wrong to be changing their titles. I have changed Nanba to the breakdance style which is awesome but I felt ok about changing his. As for the stock market, I actually like it but it’s a bit confusing and there’s so much other stuff I’m enjoying more I’m already struggling for time for it all. Also the summons are incredible.

Watched/heard a lot of the GOTY stuff now. Poor Jason. He always gets screwed over in these, but this year seemed worse. Most Distressing was hilarious at parts. Potential spoilers for people not listened yet.

Properly binged it and finished the 2nd season yesterday. Absolutely loved all of it. Helps it has the best deaths in anything ever too. I’d say I slightly preferred the 1st season. The 2nd can get a bit too silly at times but it also had a couple of more grounded episodes which were really well done - the 1st asylum one in particular was great. Prefer it being set out of town too. It was still amazing though. In fact I enjoyed it so much I did something I’ve never done before - bought the 3rd season on iTunes as soon as I’d finished 2 since it’s not streamed anywhere. Can’t wait to start 3 now. Only issues is I’ve read they cancelled the 4th and final season though as it wasn’t really popular on Starz (who’d have thought) and didn’t take off until Netflix but Starz didn’t want to rely on Netflix for future success. Proper gutted

OMG this. Is such a stupid problem because it should be so easy to solve. Got to say I really don’t understand the hatred the narrow gap thing gets though. It doesn’t bother me in the slightest. Plus what would be the alternative? A load screen or a freeze while it loads the next area - Darksiders 3 does this. No thanks. Much prefer a narrow gap in the environment. Or a door which takes ages to open it something. This I really don’t mind either. I just get frustrated if I have to wait ages in stealth sections if I’m seen. Much prefer them to be dumb so I can get on with trying again and enjoying the gameplay rather than just sitting in a dark corner for 20 minutes or having to restart if they’re too smart. Ammo stashes before a boss fight I also don’t mind. Means I know what’s coming so either get excited or can use it as a place to take a break if I’m not in the mood for it at the time. Better than being out of ammo before the boss too and having to load a really old save to stock up. Or in some cases had to restart some games. No thanks. I’ll take a ammo stash any time. Haven’t got any personally. Most cliches I don’t mind or actually like. Most of the negative stuff I agree with here are tropes or general gaming annoyances rather than cliches I’d say.

Haha you know what I mean. Those old shitty light gun type don’t count. I do remember enjoying the survivor games back in the day. Thought it was cool being in full control of movement in a light fun game. Nice little gimmick at the time.
