@Nag hmmm

in other Switch news. Football Manager 2018 is out on switch today. It's £30, which is just beyond my limit of "fuck it, it could be good", particularly with so much on the horizon. Being able to dip in and out of it does sound appealing, and there's a few Wolves and Fulham players I could poach in my efforts to make United fun to watch again

Sega announced Valkyria Chronicles for Nintendo Switch at Sega Fes 2018. It will launch via the Nintendo eShop this fall in Japan for 1,990 yen.

Like Valkyria Chronicles Remastered for PlayStation 4, Valkyria Chronicles for Nintendo Switch will include all of the game’s downloadable content.

The Switch version of Valkyria Chronicles 4, which was delayed from its previously planned summer release to this fall in Japan, will include a “Reduced Price Purchase Coupon Download Code” to purchase Valkyria Chronicles for Nintendo Switch at a reduced price of 500 yen.

Valkyria Chronicles is currently available for PlayStation 4, PC, and PlayStation 3.

RUMOUR: CoD Battle Royale coming to Switch

Quote

The release for the Battle Royale on other version is rumored to be alongside Black Ops 4 on October 12th, 2018 as a bundle. However, it will not be bundled for the Switch and just a standalone game. We also expect Activision to release the Call of Duty Battle Royale Nintendo Switch version on October 12th, 2018.

In my opinion, a Battle Royale version of Call of Duty would resonate with the Nintendo fanbase more than an out and out authentic boots on the ground Call of Duty shooter. There have been lots of rumors in the past about CoD titles hitting the Switch platform, but this one strikes me as the one which may just come true.

We do stress this is a rumor, but we have done our due diligence and it adds up with other parts of information we’ve been withholding from an entirely different source. Make of it what you will, but the ‘Forget What You Know’ phrase is starting to make a lot more sense now.

Fortnite could be heading to Switch with exclusive features

Quote

The rumours are flying in thick and fast at the moment, but this one has certainly grabbed our attention. If the rumblings are to be believed, we could soon see the hugely popular Fortnite on Nintendo Switch, with a reveal expected to be shown at the Nintendo Spotlight: E3 2018 presentation in June.

The news comes from Twitter user @LeakyPandy who, under the name Vandal_Leaks, correctly leaked info surrounding the Nintendo Direct presentation in March. LeakyPandy suggests that Fortnite's Battle Royale mode will come with "no substantial differences" and will support cross-platform play.

Perhaps the most interesting part of this 'leak', however, is the suggestion that Fortnite's co-op story mode 'Save The World' will also be present with some Switch-exclusive features. On other platforms, this mode allows up to four players to team up online, but the Switch version is slated to support local play between four consoles (which will apparently play as a large part of the port's selling point in promotional material).

The leak also says that "exclusive Nintendo IP related content is also being worked on exclusively for Save The World". This wouldn't be too much of a surprise given that games such as Rocket League and Skyrim have done this already, and we can already imagine ourselves running around in little Toad mushroom hats, representing the Switch user base with style.

It's worth noting that LeakyPandy has described this information as "gossip", telling readers to take the information with a pinch of salt in case the rumblings turn out to be false - something that we definitely encourage, too!

Would you like this rumour to be true, though? Would you be up for some Battle Royale on the TV, before playing some of the co-op story mode on the go? Let us know your thoughts below.

I was holding off mentioning this, but Nintendo removed the cheaper, original WiiU version of Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze from the eshop. They have since put it back, but assuming the removal was as cynical as it looked, and who knows maybe someone just accidentally removed it, that's pretty shitty. At least it's back though
