DANGERMAN
Of interest to no one but me presumably, but there's a Blame! film in the works. Hopefully it's good because Blame! was fantastic, the ending was rushed because it was cancelled but it's one of my favourite mangas
Duck
There's only 5 episodes out so far but Mob Psycho 100 very good. Created by the same guy that did One Punch Man. Plot summary nicked from a wiki.. Quote Kageyama Shigeo (a.k.a. "Mob") is a 8th grader with psychic abilities. He could bend spoons and lift objects with his mind from a young age, but he slowly began to withhold from using his abilities in public due to the negative attention he kept receiving. Now, the only thing he wants is to become friends with a girl in his class, Tsubomi. With his psychic "mentor" (who has no psychic powers), he continues his daily life, attempting to realize his purpose in life. ..which makes it sound kinda boring and tropey. It's not, but I'm not going to say anything tho as I think it's better to go in blind. But it has the same sort of humour that made OPM great imo. And has one of the best intros I've ever seen... Edit: should of put a trailer.
Duck
I struggled to explain why Mob Psycho 100 is the best but I found this video which does it much better than me.. Duck
Up to episode 8 on Mob Psycho 100 now. I could easily write for days gushing about this show. Big cliffhanger last week that's been building up for the last few episodes. New episode today and it all played out but they used the pay off in a cool and clever way. The writing, the cast of characters, the crazy but amazing animation are all top tier on what I think is going to my favourite series of the year. Please someone else watch it so we can talk about it!
Duck
Just watched episode 11 with the season finale of Mob Psycho 100 next week with no second season currently announced. It's easily been of one of the best anime shows I've seen so hopefully they get to do more. I haven't read the manga so I don't if it's a good adaption but the anime visually has been such a treat. They can do the big technical beautiful action scenes but also seem to let their artists free to do what. Which adds to the shows feel and humour. So good. All of these images are from the same episode.
Sambob
Just watched the 1995 ghost in the shell movie, and now wondering where to go next. The various movies and series out there are a bit confusing. Also the film itself seems a bit unfinished, I'm guessing the second film deals with what happens next, but it's made quite a while later than the first one. spatular
The second film is quite different and my memory is terrible but i think its a separate thing to the first film? Personally I prefer the two series to the films, they're great, although the majors dress sense is a bit questionable.
DANGERMAN
I loved the 2nd film but it is basically just all philosophy all the time, and not all of it makes it through the translation. It looked amazing too If you want more Ghost in the Shell I'd say start on the Stand Alone Complex series. Tonally it's closer to the first film, but it does take a few episodes to get going
Sambob
Cheers kids, doesnt look like im going to get the traditional follow up of story that im after, basically just want the first film expanded on. Going to work my way through the series though because @DANGERMAN said so and also @spatular said they are his favourite.
radiofloyd
I loved Innocence too but it's been a long time since I've seen it.
DANGERMAN
@Sambobthe 2nd film (Innocence) does have a follow up, to a point, but in terms of the Major's story it feels like nothing moves on. If they'd done a third film in that series maybe that would have moved it forward, but Innocence is more about Batou
ThreeFour
Just finished off Dragon Ball tournament. A good watch. Had to skip some and get to the meaty stuff. The Ultra Instinct music is whistle worthy.
regemond
Fine, @Maf and @ThreeFour. You both win. I'm bored of waiting for DBS to be dubbed. I'll watch the shitty subbed version. 2 weeks Crunchyroll trial signed up to.
Maf
This music is also underrated
regemond
I'm only watching it because me and my mates have finally managed to book for Broly. They decided to put it on in Scouseland now.

ThreeFour
Awww nice @regemond ?? You watched any? I saw up to like 30 or something. I then skipped to 70 and watched from there at @Maf's recommendation. The tournament is aces ?
regemond
Showcase in Scouseland. But we were drunk at the time and only booked two tickets so you'll need to bring a giant trenchcoat and sit me on your shoulders to get in. Literally just started it @ThreeFour. Hoping to get through at least 4 per night (except tonight because I'm fucking knackered). That should catch me up in time.

I saw bits of DBS up to the tournament but kept falling off because wasn’t really in to it. But then the tournament was so good I actually went back and started watching all that stuff in the middle. Still skipped the first 20 or so where they recap Battle of Gods and Ressurection F but started filling in the blanks where they learned to go Blue, and fighting Zamasu and Goku Black, etc. I still don’t love that stuff but like it more after I gained appreciation for it because of the tournament. This is not hyperbole. It’s been over a year since I started watching the tournament and still watch bits of it nearly every day, and the music is still stuck in my head all the time because I can’t stop watching it. I don’t expect anyone else to have such a strong reaction as I have had to it but it is one of my favourite things ever.
