    This motherfucker spittin’
  2. It’s definitely been mentioned before by Spencer/the Xbox team. Had the same questions back then? Does this mean games I buy on steam which have Xbox versions I can now play without having o buy again? What happens to MS’ 30% software cut of thats the case? Surely they don’t get it at that point? Makes no sense. Unless it’s just the PC app working like GOG Galaxy as mentioned by Dwarf.
  3. I meant in general with modern AAA games.
  4. His commentary on open world bloat, huge areas and having to use “x ray vision” is spot on in that review. I was slightly more interested in this instalment thanks to being in Japan and them saying Yasuke is an option for people who hate stealth but after watching a couple of reviews it definitely still isn’t for me. Yasuke sounds terrible to use in it too. The game isn’t designed around him at all.

You also still buy games on console when you have a PC that far outperforms it. Which says everything really.

I’ve been thinking about this more recently since MS has totally shit the bed so I don’t feel the need to own a Xbox going forward. & this is probably where things will eventually end up going anyway so maybe a good idea to make that switch sooner rather than later so I’ve got my library there goin forward. But it’s still mega expensive to get into & that switch does still terrify me. + Maf does a great job of reminding me of all the extra issues you do still get with PC gaming which I absolutely can not be arsed with. Maybe one day, but not yet.

    TV Shows

Just finished Invincible S3. Yep, it’s fucking brilliant.
  8. Did you ever play Lost Legacy? I remember them handling he female characters in that really well too. While she was already an established character they did Chloe a bit like that. Everyone can fuck off with the Stellar Blade hate too. It’s a great game. I had so much fun with that and genuinely loved the combat. Eve is very 1 dimensional though. Agree with this.
  9. But that’s the exception and not the rule now. Whereas it did used to be in every game that the women were only there for young boys. So I think that shows we have come along way. The extremes still exist. But they exist in all media. & tbh I don’t see a problem with there being some instalments of entertainment being overly sexualised. We’re human after all, is natural. It’s an issue when it’s all one way and when it’s in everything - like it used to be. It’s still nowhere near balanced & some say there’s far too much of it still but it’s a shit ton better than it used to be.

  11. I’ve just completed it. Unfortunately the latter half didn’t win me over, no. Just all a bit bland and slow IMO. That last boss was incredibly tedious too. 6/10 for me. Just above average.

They’re all over the place. Honestly until you need them you don’t realise just how common thy are even in smaller towns and villages. A surprising amount are in or just on the outskirts of city centres too. My local Sheffield for example. I know this is technically a big city but it’s genuinely like this even in small towns. It’s way too far to walk but on a bike, no problem. Just did a couple of places I work at out of interest and showed 25 minutes walking but only 5 minutes on a bike.

I don’t know about CEX but I can answer this one. We use Screwfix quite a lot in trade. I’m quite often working in city centres and losing parking space to nip out and get materials can cause huge headaches. It can also easily take 15-30 minutes unloading all tools and shit off the van at some places too & if there’s nowhere to store them securely you’re talking another ~hour just to pack everything away and they unload again just to go and pick something up. It’s a massive help and time saver on jobs which we’re already up against it on. Get it delivered and you can carry on working. Screwfix will use Deliveroo for shorter journeys or when their van is already out so may as well advertise direct. Electronics though, no idea. Then again people buy games digitally for £20 extra for convenience sake and buy KFC delivery at huge mark up to stay lazy so there’s obviously a market for this stuff.
  14. Basically a cash back on anything you spend and you can get extra for playing certain games or even redeeming the PS+ stuff. I found it in the app. There’s a number next to your name (mine was 4). Press that and then press the rewards button. Scroll to the bottom and you can swap for games or £5 credits. Pics to help.
  15. Not news, more of a PSA but best place for it IMO. Check your PlayStation stars people! I’ve never looked at them before but just found I had enough built up for £95 worth of credit! Can’t believe it. You can swap them for full games as well if you want. It seems relatively generous for one of these loyalty scheme things. Never got anything like this back from MS or Nintendo. Even when I was buying everything on Xbox I only ever got a fiver back. Monthly “play x game for more points” bonuses too.
  16. People say Yakuza/LAD games start slow. I’ve never really agreed with that or been bothered by it. Always just loved getting soaked up in the new information and character interactions. This one though, jeez. Got to be honest, the first 4 hours I was worried I might not like this instalment - not helped by that brat Noah and my general disregard for pirate themed shit. I don’t give a fuck about hunting pirate treasure, sailing about etc. I’ve been missing Goro’s normal more crazy personality too. However I’ve finally reached Honolulu, getting side quests, hunting down crew mates etc. and it’s all starting to click a lot more now. I’ve been thoroughly enjoying the last couple of hours. We’re back baby! Noah can still fuck off though. Little mardy prick. Captain Beef rules.
  17. Recently bought this at a reduced rate. I’m 3 worlds in. To be honest, I’m a bit disappointed. I mean, it’s fine but it’s not doing anything above that for me at all. The levels are designed well enough but it’s all been completely forgettable. I just don’t think the feel of the platforming is very good either. It’s serviceable but it’s not exactly confidence inspiring or just particularly fun to interact with. I also think it’s just too slow. Your playable character(s) just feel really sluggish, really yearning for a run button. I’ll no doubt see it through to the end still as it’s just easy to put on a play without much thought but I’m disappointed so far.

THIS! Any game that does this is immediately on m shit list. What’s point in levelling up if this happens?

    Death Stranding 2

That looks fucking incredible. I love everything going on in that trailer. Such a shame I couldn’t stand playing the first one so no doubt this won’t be for me either
  20. Psi-Ops!!! Add Singularity too.
  21. You’re playing Vanquish wrong if that’s the case. I remember completing it on the hardest difficulty and you had to be moving all the time or you’d be fucked. While you’re learning it I agree it can feel more Gears like but as you get more time in with it, it turns into a different beast.
  22. Vanquish. Easy!
  23. Been a bit obsessed with Black Myth otherwise I’d have started sooner but I’ve fully done that now so made a start. Only played about 30 minutes so not got much to say but already loving how brutal it is. The little kid better not be around for it all though otherwise it might get fucked off. He’s already getting on my nerves. Hopefully the little shit gets kidnapped or something.
  24. Nier Automata? I’ve got this but never gotten around to playing it. Some day.
  25. Furiosa is one of the most disappointing films I’ve ever seen. Fury Road is a genuine top 3 of all time for me and genuinely didn’t enjoy Furiosa at all. It was so boring. It’s a major step back in the visual effects department too.
