  1. Yeah Claude is pretty scary for anything model based or something that can be solved algorithmically. It’s what I use at work for a lot of development stuff, error code parsing, fleshing out ideas and the likes. It’s so far ahead of ChatGPT for those kind of tasks, IMO.
  2. Claude had a pretty good go at it. it didn’t fully do it but the gist seemed to be It seemed to get there
  3. Some stuff in the steam sale
  4. I went to see Kill Bill The Whole Bloody Affair last night. Kill Bill part 1 is still the far superior film and despite what Tarantino says about it being one long film, it is very much two films with the second part still being the weaker part. The main differences seem to be an extended animated sequence with a new scene added, the colour version of the crazy 88 fight sequence and no epilogue/ preview for part 2 at the end of part one, it just picks up with the flash back to the wedding. As I said above, I think part 2 is pretty weak. Part one pretty much lands everything, is well paced, exciting funny but part two feels very uneven and rushed and doesn’t hit the same highs as the crazy 88 sequence. still, glad I saw it at the cinema, I’ve wanted to see it as “one film” since when it came out, despite knowing I wasn’t a big fan of the second part. Also it has a post credit new animated sequence that takes place when The Bride leaves Tokyo and comes back to the states. What’s weird about it is it’s animated by Epic Games and has loads of Fornight characters in it. It was ok I guess but very jarring.

I just wrapped up The Three Body Problem book 2 (The Dark Forest) and fuck me it was a slog. It goes in heavy on game theory stuff, is hundreds of pages long, and is boring as shit. The last hundred or so pages sort of redeemed it a little and I do plan to bookend it with part three at some point, but not for a while
  6. Season 2 (and apparently s3) are ass compared to the manga. I still quite enjoyed s2, but it wasn’t great
  7. 6 years late to the party but I picked up the Directors Cut on Steam Deck today, quite looking forward to it
  8. Gabe Cube
  9. I’ve also started this. It is more of the same but fine tuned to make it an even more satisfying play. Infinite snow foam is more of a game changer than I imagined. It makes the game more accessible, but doesn’t diminish the satisfaction, if anything it might be more satisfying
  10. I just used emudeck for setting up emulation on the deck. You have to do it in desktop mode but YouTube has a wealth of great guides. I haven’t tried PS3 emulation on it yet, but PS2 runs perfectly
  11. I picked up a LCD Steamdeck in the recent sale as I’d been playing a little more stuff on the PC (Factorio, mainly) and had a go on my work mates Deck to seal the deal. Obviously it’s early days and honeymoon period, but I genuinely think it could become my favourite console ever. What I love about it is that it can be as involved as you want it to be. Me being me I had to do some tinkering and modding, so got the emulators installed and some other third party plugins like Decky. I’ve enjoyed tinkering in desktop mode. I’ve had it running as a “desktop” pc with KBM, monitor, webcam and headset to play some online board games with friends, mainly to see if I could and it worked flawlessly as an experience. I’ve hooked it up to Epic Game Store, GoG and Prime Gaming to add in the free stuff I’ve been collecting over the last 6 years, as well as my Steam library. I’ve curated a list of retro stuff on there from MasterSystem and Gameboy up to and including the PS2 gen, Nintendo DS & Wii, all work excellently apart from the Wii controls are a little janky. But the thing I’ve enjoyed most is sitting on the sofa or in bed and just putting some hours into some games that don’t require any of the above, just boot them up and go and that’s been great. I’m not train commuting anymore, but I’ve taken the taken the Deck into work and played on my break. If I was getting the train to work I’m not sure I’d use it on the journey as it is a big boy, but maybe?
  12. Are you and your wife with the same network, which network is it? I’ve just tried on my (iPhone, safari, ID Mobile, 4G) and seems ok as well, but judging by the error your getting that feels like something on the server side. What model phone is it?
  13. I've applied the updates this morning and also updated the reCAPTCHA setting as well. Let me know if anyone has any issues
