Mine says I’ve got a virtual game cart whenever I put one in or buy a game digitally too. Confuses me so I ignore it.
-
If you made the transfer then yes, it downloads all your digital games, but again, the (Virtual) Game Cart loading thing should only happen when you play that game across multiple systems with the same account. So not sure why it does that on your end, but the whole account system is so convoluted anyway. I went with a clean slate though. Didn't want to start off with the system memory being full and only had three or four SW1 games I still wanted to play anyway, so I only kept those and deleted the rest.
-
But I’m bound to download games as well. I deleted some games I played years ago or being real I’m never going to play. That pushed me up to 40gb. That will be enough for now.

Because of that fake film grain debate I tried watching the last Cap movie, but the fake film grain (which I didn't really mind that much or would even have made the conclusion about it being fake) is the least of this movie's issues. It's really kind of a mess and full disclosure, I just gave up at the one hour mark and skipped to the Liv Tyler cameo at the end. It's quite an ugly film to start I think, that also switches aspect ratio from scene to scene. The fight choreographies are borderline amateurish, too – there's a scene early on where Cap moves his arm back to hit someone with the shield he's holding and an enemy just snatches the shield out of his hand and it looks so goofy. And then a few minutes later President Ford utters the words 'more indestructible' and my eyes started rolling on their own. Speaking of, I think Ford was a bad choice anyway, he plays this like he doesn't want to be there and doesn't even remotely look like William Hurt (rip) either. And on the topic of casting, I don't like to criticise actors for their appearance, but Shira Haas has to be the most unbelievable secret agent type ever on the big screen because of her short stature. Why they didn't just switch her role with that of the president's secretary I have no idea. Anyway, what a mess. I don't know what role this movie is supposed to play in the wider MCU but if it was to set up something then, well, I hope they have a plan B.

At worst a cartridge game might need an update to run but the whole Game Cart loading thing should only happen when you play digital games across multiple systems.

Deleted my Scarlet save and started from the beginning. Played for nearly 3 hours and just got to the school for the first time (That should take maybe 45mins but I can’t help it. There is no gameplay loop I find more addictive than Pokemon) The upgrade is kind of incredible. Yes the textures and assets are still low quality. But just playing it at 4K60 on a big screen is just so vibrant. This game is pure, bright, simple kids colours and I don’t know if it’s the autism but every now and then I turn the camera and get all the blues, greens and oranges and am like whoa 😮 I also forgot how a few small touches make this such a good Pokemon game. Being able to send Pokemon out and auto battle is amazing, the way Pokemon spawn in is silly but just makes finding Pokemon real quick and convenient, it’s just much faster than previous games and rolling around a big map is just always the way Pokemon was supposed to be The big weakness to this game, which I already knew but just being reminded, is most of the new Pokemon are garbage. Most of their designs are trash and I can’t remember any of their names. They’re just so rubbish. Which, is kind of the most important thing in any Pokemon game. When they do the next generation. If they can make a better open world, obviously have it look better, and have a really strong Pokédex, they’d really be making an all-timer

Now that I've hit a sort of open world I thought, great, this is more my type of game at last - go anywhere, explore, find quests and stuff. I'm a bit overwhelmed by it though. I wish there where some pointers on how to get started. I don't just want to go out and fight and fight. I'm guessing that's what the game is offering tho.

I might need that SD card after all. I’ve only transferred data from my LOED Switch and have 20gb left on Switch 2 Also I don’t understand why every time I put in a cartridge it asks me to load a game cart? I’ve just put it in the S2. Isn’t that enough

I might go to the cinema tomorrow just for the AC

I don’t really mean quests, I mean secrets, treasures, unfinished areas of exploration I play these games by following my nose essentially so I’ve zig-zag-ed all around in circles, left icons all over the map, and can’t remember where anything is or what anything means So I will start a fresh except I will play up to where you get the glider and then just head north/west this time instead

I can kill those in a few hits now - once you start fusing weapons you can build some formidable weapons! Not that they last long though 😅 Not sure I'd want to start from zero again. I did go back to it after a couple of years and picked up where I left off. I had definitely forgotten some of the quests but it seems pretty good at getting you back on track. I have reached the end game I think but haven't really pursued it, happy exploring still.

My only complaints with this game is the controls, particularly around item menus are too fiddly and need stream-lining. The game might just be too big. I spent 95 hours and done about a 1/3rd of the game And I think weapons don’t do enough damage. But apart from that, in terms of open world gameplay, puzzles, mysteries, secrets, and a bunch of other things, just straight 10/10 And the most important thing is it has surprise around every corner. Which I think, particularly when you’ve been playing games for 30+ years, surprise is a big deal. Even though I played for 95 hours, it was a pure thinking, guessing wondering 95 hours. The entire time you’re looking ahead thinking how to get there and wondering what’s over there I decided I’m going to delete my save and start again. I simply can’t remember all the loose threads I started and dropped, my map makes no sense and I’ve forgotten too much in how to play the game But the good thing about having a game is so rich I can just go explore the other 2/3rds of the map this time so it’s still like a new game It is diabolical how good TotK is

Ex-Superman Dean Cain Says James Gunn Made a ‘Mistake’ Calling Superman an ‘Immigrant’ and ‘It’s Going to Hurt’ the Box Office: ‘How Woke Is Hollywood Going to Make This Character?’ Don't tell Dean known for being crap Cain but I have tickets booked for tomorrow

I have found HDR hard to set up, but our TV is about 6 years old and doesn't support HGIG so I've had to guess at it. Agreed though TotK is amazeballs, it's the gift that keeps on giving.

People are saying it looks a lot like the first game, so I think I've been vindicated in saying I'll just wait for this and ignore part 1. It's just the trend now with modern AAA isn't it. edit watching the vid, they bring back Kurosawa mode, and they have a Takashi Miike mode. That could be dangerous, I've seen Ichi The Killer, I don't want to see what they do with the title sequence in this

Yeah, basically all of the skill expression in the combat system is spent doing a sort of homework on every enemy, and then scripting the outcome of the fight around that. It can be interesting but it is fatiguing. As mentioned I think I could accept it better if there was something else in the game to do other than this, but it's just sort of a barren experience really. I still don't think it's that good, but I think it punches above its weight in interesting ways. I usually have a soft spot for games like that, some of my favorites are like that. But with Clair Obscur it's a victim of massive expectations cause of its review scores, I think if it scored like Nier did I'd be more patient with it and its issues. But instead I'm comparing it to the heavyweights of the genre, cause people keep saying it's a masterpiece, but I don't agree with that I find it hard to avoid having my perspective of a game altered by its reception, I had that with Baldur's Gate 2 as well, every issue it had was magnified massively and it took me ages to actually get into it

Randomly opened youtube when this started so I watched it. It's quite striking visually, like the first one I guess, but the way it uses two key colours for every area really streamlines its visuals in a way few open worlds would dare. The music also sounds absolutely phenomenal from what little I've heard, an interesting mashup between classic Japanese instrumentalisation and some themes you'd rather associate with westerns. It also thankuflly has Japanese VO because the English one sounded a bit odd IMO. On the less positive side I think the gameplay looks just very run-of-the-mill. There's really nothing here I haven't seen a million times before. Not saying that's a bad thing or anything and I would probably play this if I had a PS5, but at the same time time it's not making me buy one as it stands. Speaking of buying one, they announced some rather pretty consoles launching in tandem with this:

I took that mother down good. Anyway, because of my lost 12 hours, I've been playing this for over 30 hours. If I'm gonna see the end I really need a break. I'm going to play another couple of short games, while exploring the open world in this for maybe half an hour a day, or just enough to keep the gameplay under my fingers. Fact is it's been one of the most intense experiences I've had in gaming. In the main I've loved it, but it's worn me out to a certain extent. And what's with the story? Feckin Nora. I'm going to have to go on the internet to see if anyone can explain to me what the feck is going on.

https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0F442XPYW? It’s a Game Keycard but £10 cheaper than the eShop. So, this whole system makes no sense already? Must be Square and Sega that were moaning about low Switch 2 sales because all their games are discounted

I watched either Nextlander or Remap play this. I didn't get my head around some of the rules in it, but they seemed to enjoy it

I got through the game without mucking about parrying and evading everything just fine... 🤷♂️

Yeah he's talking crap, first he bullies maf and now telling porkies about Clair Obscur. We're in here in the Clair Obscur mines, studying frame data of these assholes, judging their imperceptible rhythms and arcane telegraphs, our builds blown to bits like soggy toilet paper.
