Yeah, I know what you mean. I don't mind a Barney, but fucking Nora, this (I'm assuming) last part of act 2 is grinding me down. The battle system isn't that feckin' good.

Dude, that first game (with the new island DLC) is one of the best games ever.

Is it free for owners of the game?

I went there first like an idiot and basically beat the axon solo with Luna. And I'm not bragging because... Maybe that is a bit braggy tbf.

I'm glad I talked you into continuing as your posts have now become instruction manuals which I'm copying and charging for on the dark web😀

Actually @one-armed dwarf, if you turn the diff up you're likely to get the gameplay u seek. I'm pretty sure the parry window doesn't change (how could it get any effing narrower) so that won't make any difference.

The main path is always lit by lamps. You can explore than relocate yourself by that. Yes. I'm back to where I was. I've actually enjoyed getting better at the game. Its becoming a favourite game of mine. Of course that could all go to shit🥺

A little bit of an eyebrow raiser there. I think the game is pretty much nailing everything it's going for - wonderful graphics and art direction, excellent acting, a simple and easy to follow story, a very atmospheric game world and sense of place, and an invigorating battle system. I can understand if, as an experienced gamer, the fighting can seem unbalanced. If you seek out every nook and cranny in the game world and fight every battle (like me) you'll get overpowered. Same as nearly every other turn based rpg. But isn't that part of the fun? And if you want to tune the experience - well, there mightn't be sliders for individual gameplay components but there's probably things to try. You want easy parrying? Knock it down to easy but don't use attribute points or level up weapons, or play as a team of 2 only, or even solo. People are definitely doing stuff like that out there. Personally I always get a kick out of getting a bit overpowered. Plus there's always an optional boss lurking somewhere to put you through your paces. I found one earlier in the Over world that's gonna take serious skills to beat. But I'll have him. Mark m'words.

Probably this year. And then play fallout London.

I think it's because games tend to loop themes for battles, and then another looped theme for exploration or dialogue. After a while it just grates on me. For open world RPGs I just really like to pretend I'm walking in a field.

Music down to 15% for me. This is quite normal for me tho, especially in open world western RPGs like Skyrim where I turn it off completely. I feel that role playing such games means hearing the sounds of the natural environment. If I turned around and there was an actual orchestra following me around, sure, then I'd turn it up. Although I might ask the conductor what he was up to.
