It looked and sounded great for something that presumably had very little budget attached to it. 06/05 The Little Acre (PC) Nicely drawn and animated point and click adventure game. It's quite short and moves along at a pretty fast pace. You are tasked with finding and reporting cases which contravene the platform's rules, by searching for keywords Her Story style, and following links. Theres an overarching story which develops as you complete cases, and it's not really finished until you complete the epilogue. I got stuck a few times because I just wasn't finding the information required with my searches, and needed hints to get back on track, but enjoyed myself for the most part. radiofloyd 1,008 Report post Posted May 24 Subsurface Circular (Switch) I’m not going to spoil anything about this game, but i thoroughly enjoyed it. It’s a visual novel from Mike Bithell. It’s described as a “one session” game and it is short but I played through in about three short sessions. There is also a whole area dedicated to the devs salty butthurt about people not liking the meme references in the first game. It's made up of 5 short, sad story vignettes, where you complete puzzles to move the story on, each with their own puzzle style which reflects the story in some way. It's an enjoyable, well put together little diversion. The pixel art is lovely - from the artist on Thimbleweed Park. Was enjoyable enough but don’t think it’s anywhere near as good as people were making out. Parts of it were so cringeworthy and the the whole “youre the best friend ever, you mean so much to me”, & “you’re the best person ever, you’re so important” type BS was really difficult to get through. Who talks like that? People like Victoria would never befriend Max no matter how nice she was with her either, found those type of plot points strange.
