Surprise! It’s great. The controls are fluid and quickly become second nature, the enemies are naughty and deserve the death you give to them and the new counter ability feels good to pull off. The EMMI make things tense and that’s where the dread comes into play because it’s insta death if caught. Well a 99% chance of it. I’m looking forward to rinsing this.

I’m surprised the cloud stuff has taken off as much as it has. I thought it was going to be a one off experiment when they announced and released assassin’s creed cloud version and Japan only but there’s almost 10 cloud versions of games switch can’t run. They must be profitable I guess but I don’t know anyone outside of a podcast that have spent money on not owning a game.

Big team battle was excellent in Halo 2.

If you don’t watch anything foreign language because you don’t want to get used to reading subtitles then you’re forcing your pool of available media to be incredibly shallow and largely by the numbers.

Hell Let Loose looks good. Like Battlefield 1943. MK11 is on sale atm.

Nintendo paid for the development of 2. Not sure about 3 but probably same situation.

I’d like to trade to upgrade but game only give £145 and I’m not paying £160 for a better screen. I’d hoped they’d have a special promotion. I saw some on hukd got £265 from GAME in July. If they do that again I’m in but given Nintendo announced a switch price cut since it seems unlikely.

I’ve put more time into this and I think I’m done. Again. It’s just so boring. The fighting is boring. The swinging is a great mechanic but quickly becomes a boring chore when they intentionally make the next thing to do a million meters away. The parts of you having to swing after something until the game decides you can catch up to it pisses me off in open world games. The qte’s are unnecessary distraction from you not really doing anything. The constant quips and awful lines make me roll my eyes. Maybe it gets better the more you do but right now every time it introduces something new it’s just a tired old open world trope. I might play more some day. I might not. 🤷‍♂️ It’s a shame really because I really enjoyed second son. I think I platinum it. But now with this, 2 and then wolverine I’m unlikely to bother with more insomniac games if they’re all like this. I would like to try Sunset Overdrive some day tho.

It was getting on for midnight when I started this tonight and I wish I’d put it on earlier instead of wasting my time playing spider man. So for (2hrs) I love this game, or at least I do when it lets me play. I don’t hate the cut scenes but as you’d expect from Kojima they do go on a bit and I can’t tell if the story is written terribly or is vague as. The controls are real good and I haven’t fallen on my arse yet. Always feel in control. I was worried it wouldn’t look as impressive as it did on Limmy’s stream but nope, it’s gorgeous. It’s the sort of setting I’d love to vacay in. Everything looks as healthy as places do tourism commercials. Filtered to buggery and lush. Not a crisp packet in site. I look forward to digging into this more over the coming weeks and months.

Remaster delayed until 02/22

No love for Charlie Day? It was an 7/10 direct. Most was 2022. A list of diverse games again which by default displeases 2/3 of people watching because every game that’s not for them is a negative. Surprised cloud gaming is still on the agenda. I thought the first which was AC and Japan only would be a one hit wonder but they’re all giving it a shot. Kirby looks sparse but that’s so long away. As for N64, I’ve been looking into getting one and an hdmi adapter. I’ll hold off for now to see how these are handled but the games I want aren’t the obvious ones like m64 or banjo. I’d definitely take winback tho and f-zero. I want goemon, goldeneye, beetle adventure racing, MRC.. so many I’d be surprised if they ever came to fruition.

@DANGERMAN blast is worth it for this track alone.
