one-armed dwarf Posted February 16 Share Posted February 16 This isn't the same thing but I saw someone say they should go and remaster Deep Space 9 with AI but it had this same sort of 'wavey' look whenever you look at creases in people's faces. Certain lines being too dark, and skin being too smooth. Detail being removed so that the final image is 'more sharp' and higher resolution, and hallucinating bullshit that isn't there. I kinda worry at some point rights holders will stop putting in effort with restoring old films and will hit it with the fuck ugly stick of AI cause it's cheaper.
