Craymen Edge
http://www.eurogamer.net/?topic=games-of-the-generation Fallout 3, Journey and The Last of Us added to the list. I haven't played The Last of Us yet, but Journey is great, and Fallout 3 is definitely one of my favourites this gen, once it clicked with me. HandsomeDead
I'd play some 4llout.
radiofloyd
The full top 50: http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2013-11-04-eurogamers-games-of-the-generation-the-top-50 That's a god awful list. For one thing the labelling of Twilight Princess as a previous gen game is ridiculous, since it's probably the one Wii game everyone owns (aside from the obvious), and it was easily a highlight of this gen. Other than that Deadly Premonition and Xenoblade spring to mind, as well as several DS and indie games.
Hendo
Yeah that is pretty awful. That's the problem with asking people to pick their favourite games whereas they probably should be picking what they think are the most important games. You'd have to have Wii Sports, Gears of War, etc
DANGERMAN
I get the feeling that our eventual list (end of the year?) will be as bad, although it'll probably have a few more 'obscure' games. Like Hendo said, it's less about us/them having bad taste more that you're asking people for their favourites, and they're always wrong to someone
HandsomeDead
I like the list. Not all of my favourites are there but it was surprising to look through. Good list.
Sly Reflex
My list was better.

retroed
I'm off work feeling like shit at the moment. Now the kids are in bed and the wife is at work, I'm compiling a list of 100 of my favourite games of this gen. 360, PS3, Wii, DS, PSP and PC are what I have available to choose from. We'll see how this goes. I'll be putting the list up in alphabetical order rather than worst to best, to make things a bit easier for me. Anyone else want to join me? spatular
Cool list Ed, just wondered did you pick any PC games?
retroed
No I didn't in the end. These are all based off the consoles. I haven't played enough of FTL, Gunpoint, To The Moon etc to think about including them. Brothers on XBLA I need to get around to playing, too. spatular
Cool, I just wondered as you mentioned PC at the start. I'll try and come up with a list, probably steel some of yours to make a good start.
DANGERMAN
out of interest Edward, if one were to put, say Chrono Trigger on his list, would that be permissible what what
retroed
If it's the DS version, that would be fine. It's not really any different to me putting RE4 Wii Edition.
radiofloyd
As far as I know, Chrono Trigger was a straight port of the Snes game (graphics wise). Compared to the Dragon Quest games which were improved dramatically. Either way I'd include them all, but definitely the Dragon Quest remakes! DANGERMAN
I'm struggling to get to 50 I think should really be in there, but there are a couple of games I feel bad I haven't played/finished. You'll be pleased to know though Ed that we've got a lot of overlap
radiofloyd
Kotaku have started a discussion on the best video game music of the last generation: http://kotaku.com/the-best-video-game-music-of-the-last-generation-1463218112 Some lovely choices there. Can't argue with that Mass Effect track. Good to see the Wii get some representation. Fable 2 springs to mind as well.
