SlyEnemy 2.0
Did anyone else ever get this? It's sad to see than it'll probably never appear over here, or America, but I absolutely love this game. I'd put this above Ouendan! in the rhythm action stakes, and to be honest it's probably my favourite handheld bemani game. I'm struggling past the Kanji, but I've found the Mario Medley, so I'm more than happy now
moggymatt
I've been playing this for ages, its gotta expansion pack for the GBA slot too. I don't like it as much as Ouendan mainly coz its ina language I can't read! Its still very playable and I'd recommend it to any music/rhythm game lover! Playing the music is just as much fun as tapping to it, and you can do a multi-player band!! Shame it'll never get a US release If you like Band Bro's , you might wanna check out Custom Beat Battle, its a good mix of music/action and RPG to boot! Centy
I've only had a quick go of this but it seemed pretty fun i expect Hendo will be goin on about this when his copy arrives.
DANGERMAN
What I played of the multiplayer was quite good, not good enough to make me buy it, but still good. I think I preferred Electroplankton, I know it's not got a structure, but I spent more time with that than I did Band Brothers
Hendo
I played this a little at a mates house, but yeah like Centy says, I ordered the game plus the GBA expansion with loads of extra songs and they should be arriving any day now.
Centy
Yeah still its a good game i may try and pick up mainly because Ready Steady Go is ace on this yet sucks on Ouendan
stu
Been playing this over the weekend, and whilst the style is lovely and everything works really well, it's soooo hard I'm just no good at these games.

Hendo
Ben wrote: I think I preferred Electroplankton, I know it's not got a structure, but I spent more time with that than I did Band Brothers Did you use the Edit mode in Band Brothers, Ben? I've yet to unlock it but apparently the Pro Edit mode is pretty good. I've spent the past few hours mucking about on this now, and I've started doing tracks where you use d-pad directions and ABXY buttons specifically, rather than the "any button will do" approach in the beginning. The game is truly awesome and I recommend it to all who are even remotely interested in music/rhythm-action games, though this is slightly more towards rhythm than action. I put this far above Electroplankton, for one thing it has co-op multi where one might play the bass part and the other the melody! I've also got the expansion and it seems it adds a shit-load (35 I think) more songs to the list. Here's a basic translation of the main stuff I ripped from GameFAQS.... illdog
Ive had this for a while but only recently purchased the expansion pack (i heard it was rare). Whilst it is a great game, it hasnt ever compelled me to play for more than an hour at a time. To that end ive had it for nearly a year but im only about a third of the way through the main game which I take to be the Recording Ticket mode. I personally wouldnt put this above Oendan, nor the second Ouendan. I also prefer Pinky Street Kira Kira Music Hour to Daigasso, but like Hendo says, its a must for rythem game fans. HERE id the Wikipedia entry on the game, its worth a goosey.

Hendo
I spent about an hour or two on this before I went to bed last night (could be where my current nasty headache has come from) and I absolutely love it! I'm on the 3rd main mode now and it's bastardly hard. MIDI sounds FTW.
SlyEnemy 2.0
Finally managed to get Stage 5 done (Scraped through with 6% left). I've had a go at the edit mode, and fuck me if I don't know anything about reading/writing music. So that was a waste of time! You do unlock PRO mode though, where you have to hold down L and R when doing certain notes, such as R + Y or such. Now that is bastardly hard! Hendo
After not being able to sleep last night, I put Picross away and fired this back up. I finally did the last stage on Normal Mode! By gum it was hard. But nothing can prepare you for the Pro Mode. Like Expert Mode on Guitar Hero, it's very much like having to play a real instrument as it's no longer as simple as just the face button or d-pad - like Sly says, at some points (fairly early on) I had to hold the 'R' button, down on the d-pad and the 'Y' button all at the same time. And that's only like a bar of music's worth - then you have to quickly change to something equally nutty. It'll never be finished.
retroed
It's taken a while, but this is coming to Europe on May 21st as Jam with the Band. It won't feature any J-pop though, it's being Westernised ala Elite Beat Agents.

spatular
That reminds me that I still have yet to play the 2nd one properly. same here, barely touched it despite loving the first one which was pretty much a launch game - around the start of 2005/end 2004? spatular
so this was out the other week - anyone seen a copy in the shops? i certainly haven't. preordered from zavvi but kept getting emails saying they were chasing their supplier about it or something so at the weekend, worried that this might become even harder to get hold of than it seemingly is at release, i changed my order to game and it arrived yesterday, there's 50 songs + the ability to download another 50. not much to say about it as it plays just the same as the others, its good fun but hard. there's some sort of kareoke mode too which i don't think is new just the menus in the second DS one were pretty confusing so i'll probably find a few features that seem new but aren't.
