haha yeah i think i need to give it another go too. you've got pcvr right? that would be easier if you wanted to try a racing game in vr, quite a lot support it i think, like assetto corsa, automobilista 2, dirt rally 1/2, not sure how good they are with a pad mind if that's what you'd be using, whereas yeah GT is pretty good with a pad.

racing games in vr is a big thing it offers lots of benefits like looking around you to see where other cars are, lots of people like to race the in car view as it's more realistic but on a 2d screen the in car views are rubbish - whereas in vr it's exactly like you're in a car, judge distances better, being seated experience it's again exactly like being in a real car, probably need a steering wheel for maximum immersion, it's a really good use for vr... having said that i prefer to have the tv on at the same time as playing racing games which you can't really do in vr. it'll be interesting to see how much of the game is playable in VR, i'm sure it'll be more than for gt sport, but in gt sport you could barely do anything in vr (race against a single car or timetrial).
  3. ^ that's interesting, there's also sai dai ou jou - i sort of think sai means final but not sure. and daifukkatsu which i guess means resurrection as that one has an english release and that's what it's called over here anyway. also there's sales on steam and switch at the moment https://store.steampowered.com/app/464450/DoDonPachi_Resurrection/ https://store.steampowered.com/app/314180/Deathsmiles/ that's the old version of deathsmiles, it's still great, the new one is more expensive but supposed to be more accurate and includes deathsmiles 2 https://store.steampowered.com/app/377860/Mushihimesama/ https://store.steampowered.com/app/592270/Neko_Navy/ https://store.steampowered.com/app/1570500/Space_Moth_Lunar_Edition/ https://store.steampowered.com/app/439490/BLUE_REVOLVER/ https://store.steampowered.com/app/545060/BULLET_SOUL_INFINITE_BURST/ https://store.steampowered.com/app/1794300/BLUE_WISH_DESIRE/ there's loads more, and that hazelnut hex game Maryokutai posted above is £2, think i'll get that and z-warp https://store.steampowered.com/app/1990820/ZWarp/

oh yeah that last license test around spa was tricky keeping the car on the track! im still playing this but not often, just the online timetrials with the cash rewards, i'm not sure how often they change, maybe every 1 or 2 weeks, but i try and get a silver time gets you 1 million credits, the last one i did was a lot of fun, seemed harder than normal to get the silver time. it's a good point i haven't done all the circuit experiences yet, need to go back to those, remember struggling with the big off road track
  5. Also m2 just announced a new shottriggers game for next year, and its a big one, dodonpachi dai ou jou (doj), probably my 3rd favourite shmup bad news is i guess this means still no batrider for next year, i mean doj is better but ive already played it loads on ps2/360.
  6. Saw someone saying akai katana might not be on digital download on consoles over here for a while because of some publishing deal for physical versions so not sure whats going on there. Think its on all formats digitally in Japan. opposite of that, rolling gunner has been on switch for ages, now on steam. https://store.steampowered.com/app/1456470/Rolling_Gunner/
  7. epic are giving away a game a day again around xmas, it's a few days in, anyway todays game is sable, which i thought was pretty good anyway.
  8. Yeah we had a pong thing, well it was my grandads i think, it was bright orange so easy to google, apparently it was a binatone mk 4 or similar, looks like there were a few versions. We had a wooden atari 2600 that was given to us and a vic 20 also given to us so we had these after they were popular so not really sure what order we had them in. Most consoles i had as a kid were either given to us or got for xmas or something, then i played on the family pc a lot, so think the first console i bought was an n64 when they were on the way out as i remember the console cost around £70. Think the first console i bought near (maybe a month after) launch was gamecube. https://collection.sciencemuseumgroup.org.uk/objects/co8408065/binatone-tv-master-mk6-computer-game-computer
  9. akai katana is on steam now, coming to consoles too, soon maybe? https://store.steampowered.com/app/2076220/Akai_Katana_Shin/
  10. sable you suck at parking gunvein normal 1cc wrc generations, done a season of wrc but still more to do
  11. this doesn't work for me because apparently i blocked nintendo from accessing my stats. in your face nintendo.
  12. yeah i was also thinking that's not many platinums. had a look at mine, don't know how to link it properly but it was about 120 hours of gran turismo, some horizon, some returnal (i guess the free dlc) didn't think i'd played that much GT but guess all the timetrialling and grinding for money adds up
  13. Yeah i only played an hour or so of the demo and didnt really get on with it, so maybe give it more of a try. Liked the cool effects around the car though.
  14. Oh yeah good point theyre making fuser unavailable, need to remember to check for a sale or something to try and get it before its gone for good.
  15. i've been playing some generations as it was cheap on pc (cdkeys), it's so similar to 10 i just edited the thread title. does seem improved over 10 though, i've been enjoying it, well there was a throttle bug (maybe pc only?) so that was fixed on friday, didn't play much before that. i still don't understand some parts of the career mode despite playing it in 3 games now. i played 9 again a bit recently so can make a better comparison but yeah 9 is more arcady, especially the brakes which help make up for when you're not sure where to go or maybe for late co-driver calls, think i prefer 9. but this is still a really good rally game. i like it.
  16. mecha ritz and dezatopia physical release selling out surprisingly fast https://www.strictlylimitedgames.com/collections/dezatopia-mecha-ritz edit - i think they released it in 2 batches to trick me into thinking it was selling out, although apparently one of the versions has
  17. i had a look at the full list and only seen 8 or so. think i remember reading something similar years ago thinking i should try and watch some more of them but never did, i'm barely watching any films these days
  18. Yeah cant deny how impressive stuff like rdr and the sony games are, think my favorite of those for graphics is spiderman and horizon. Theres lots of stuff last gen that looks good like that, my preference is more for an interesting art style stuff like rez, jet set radio and wind waker but struggling to think of stuff like that for last gen. Like Dangerman says theres probably some indie games im forgetting. Think unfinished swan is ps3, maybe with a ps4 version too? sunset overdrive and forza horizon are nice and bright and colurful, i like that sort of thing. oh yeah Esp ra.de. Is a great looking game, technically counts i guess, old pixel art arcade game but only got a console port with switch/ps4.

    The Manga Thread

I thought i would do stuff like that if i had a house, it didnt really turn out like that. Hope you have more luck with it! i see what you mean about stock problems too, i forgot about this but i ordered another 1st book to try a while ago but its still not turned up

    The Manga Thread

Thanks for the recommendations guys! Im not into horror unfortunately so will give that a miss. Completely agree about the space thing, and sticking to short series. Will have a look into that fire punch and the jump app cheers. Crunchroll has some manga but they dont have them all they have like only the last so many volumes but dont have the start. So thats pointless. I actually already got some short ones because i like the anime, like i got planetes, but need some time to forget what happens before trying to read it. edit - oh yeah ive got one Dangerman lent me years ago, i should try that

    The Manga Thread

Oh there is a manga thread, or did some one just make it, either way thats cool! I sort of want to try some manga, tried to read akira/ghost in the shell in the past but didnt get very far. Anyway so i got one called pluto, its something to do with astro boy, like a spin off or something, but i dont know much about astro boy so not sure, liked the 1st book, but the second wasnt as good, ill probably forget whats going on while waiting for the 3rd one to arrive. Looked into reading berserk but theres loads of it so difficult to buy and i dont think its on any of the netflix type subscription things?
  22. Yeah i guess i dont really care as long as people are careful with spoilers. Just seemed strange having barely any posts about anime in here. Wasnt suggesting you should post them in a different thread, but have one for anime and one for manga.
