  1. I think Guacamelee 2 is definitely a better game than the first, and I really appreciated the larger focus on platforming (mostly optional right?) compared to the very simple approach in the first game that was mainly combat focused. As a metroidvania it's still very simple to navigate so the platforming brought a much-needed element to the game. Also the meme humour is way better in 2 than in 1, and all worth it for the part where they call it out.
  2. There are only two generations, the rest are all just hardware revisions. Other than a smattering of DSi games and an even smaller handful of New 3DS only games, every game is simply either a DS game or a 3DS game. The difference is quite obvious too given the spec change.
  3. Hidden gems in that they came out after the Switch: - Monster Hunter Stories - Ever Oasis - Detective Pikachu - Dillon's Dead Heat Breakers Ever Oasis especially deserves a sequel or something
  4. Hope you're schooling them in versus too! :P Towerfall competitive is legit one of the best local multiplayer games there is. I'd heartily recommend Gang Beasts too
  5. Heist is fantastic, I think it's one of the best games in the genre! Well worth anyone with any interest in it playing

    Stealth games?

MGS3 has to be my favourite, but as a pure "stealth game" I think Chaos Theory is nigh-on perfect. I was very disappointed with the direction Splinter Cell took after that! Also I think this might be the best place I can get away with plugging this little stealth game I recently made... (tweet)
  7. I've played the damn game twice and never noticed it's spelt wrong https://www.gameskinny.com/wyhye/egx-2016-forgotton-anne-i-hope-we-didnt-forget-to-ask-anything It can't have been that significant then... Just found this: http://www.pushsquare.com/news/2018/04/interview_recalling_forgotton_anne_with_developer_throughline_games So I guess that's that!

    What's your....

E-sports and the competitive scene in general I find it baffling and almost impenetrable, which I find strange when I consider myself very into videogames. Like, why would you watch /other/ people play games?

    Celeste

Keep up the impressions, it only gets better and I love seeing more people playing the game!
  10. I like ridiculous cutscenes with the action turned up to unbelievable levels just because, and for the remake to be explained away in-universe as a cinematic retelling of the events from the original game as told by a survivor aka Twin Snakes
  11. I played this through (twice) a few weeks ago, the comparisons to Ghibli (and Spirited Away especially) are very apt - it's the closest I've ever come to playing one of their films as a game. It's beautiful in motion too. The cutscene art can look a bit off-model but in game everything flows so nicely. You know that satisfied feeling you get in a game when you walk up some stairs and the feet line up with every step perfectly? That's Forgotten Anne. My only criticism is the slow pace, especially on subsequent playthroughs. The voice acting is good but dialogue can't be skipped, so it can take an age to get anywhere.

    Fallout 76

I'm over 200 hours into this game 8^)
  13. They do need to address how powerful a Predator is rather than just skinswap Jason. What would be cool is if the Predator was incentivised to let the opponents gear up and become more of a threat. Like sure he could straight murder everyone to begin with, but Predator is more about intentionally stalking and seeking a worthy opponent. Probably won't happen though.
  14. It's a strong concept, as Evolve was, it's just the execution that's difficult. I want it to be good.

    Days Gone

If anything I am frustrated by the game not being scripted enough! Every time I reload to retry a section in a more satisfying way (like clearing a camp), it seems to play out differently, even when I try and do the same thing.

    Days Gone

The first bounty mission (to kill a specific target) I shot the target with that, then watched as his friends (whose sole purpose in the mission is to make getting to him harder) all killed him for me. I was satisfying

    Fallout 4

The story is pretty rubbish so I wouldn't worry :P

    Days Gone

Most entertaining way of taking down humans is to bait zombies into them. Second most entertaining way is to use the special crossbow ammunition to turn them against each other.

    What's your....

Taiko no Tatsujin with drum Can't even play it because I'm scared of annoying my neighbours...
  20. Has anyone who's got this not got spotify? If so what are you doing about the lack of music?

    Fallout 4

I'm surprised she wasn't marked essential (which is one of the things I hate in Fallout 4 and Skyrim...)

    Fallout 4

    Obligatory "play New Vegas" post
  23. Very happy to see A Way Out get the multiplayer award. Instantly better than the Golden Joysticks! Happy for Yoku's Island Express too

    Fallout 4

I liked building at that settlement because you can get up onto the highway which is a cool location for a base. Your plan sounds good though too!
