illdog
A video of Kirby: Crystal Shards if your interested, initial impressions remind me of a cross between Yoshi's Story amd Mario 64.

retroed
Super R-Type is a good 'un. It's nowhere near as good as R-Type III: The Third Lightning, though.
Shin_Seffron
UPDATE 21/03/08 Mega Turrican (Mega Drive) 800 points More Turrican action... There must be a new one in the works!?
Hendo
I never got round to getting Super Turrican so I might get this instead. It's apparently closer in feel to the C64 and Amiga versions.

Hendo
Fuck me, a decent week at last! Also... Shin_Seffron wrote: Uridium (Commodore 64) 500 pointsInternational Karate (Commodore 64) 500 points They're too expensive for what they are, I had them back when they were brand new, and I have them now in emulated form, but damn I'm tempted. Mind you, IK+ makes IK play like poop.
spatular
i'm tempted by uridium too, tried it emulated but think it's probably too old school for me anyway.
leeray666
I really don't know. I have a HDTV and my few Virtual Console games work OK.... ... Though, one did go a bit funny, so I deleted it and re-downloaded it. It works now. Maybe you could try that? Have you got your Wii connected with a Component cable and set at 420p? Hendo
Try going through the section in the Shop where it shows you which games you bought and see if there's an update for each of them. Failing that, my method is I kept my Scart cable, it's permanently hooked up to the socket in the TV and the Wii-end is very close to the machine. If I need to I change the cable socket to play one that doesn't work through the Component cable. It's not ideal, but it'll have to do. And er: wiivo wrote: Cruis'n USA? YeSSSsSssssS! Seriously? Takes all sorts I suppose. You'd get on very well with my brother, he really wants the new Wii one.

stu
A question for Hendo - Do you still buy every VC game? If so, what's Kirby 64 like? I'm tempted by it but I just can't decide...
Hendo
I've never bought every VC game! I can't remember the last one I bought (and it wasn't Kirby 64, sorry) but I have a feeling it was Lords of Thunder for the Turbo-Grafx.
DANGERMAN
Fantasy Zone (Sega Master System) Wonder Boy (Sega Master System) Impossible Mission (Commodore 64) California Games (Commodore 64) Dont know the prices for these, I think it's 400 for the MS games and 500? for the C64. They're in here somewhere
Hendo
I think all of them are 500. I seem to remember America getting SMS games for 400 rather than 500? Ah well. A bloody amazing week, considering what we've had lately. I very much doubt anyone would, but if you're after a challenge, get Impossible Mission. Hard as nails. Shin_Seffron
Not a bad week at all, shame i havent got the internet at the moment. Probably for the best actually i'd probably download Wonder boy, play it for five minutes then never look at it again ...
