Not as much care as the now ancient Sonic Jam and not as many classics included as many other previous Sonic collections. Ran into a few bugs too. Tails’ AI in Sonic 2 is straight up broken, even worse than it was originally. You basically have to play it in mute due to the constant jumping noises. But then you lose the amazing music. Speaking of which, Sonic 3 has had some replaced. Which sucks on its own. But what makes it even worse is the music they’ve replaced it with. You don’t have the original music? That sucks but ok. You replace it with some debug place holder shit? Oh, you’ve fucked up. Feels and looks amazing throughout and personally the challenge level felt perfect for me. Always satisfying as fuck when you go from finishing a level at age 50+ to eventually being able to do them in early 20’s. Such a well designed game. Turns out there’s a different ending too, going to give that a go. But may just be a bit too difficult at that point, we’ll see. 9/10 Edit, that ended up being surprisingly easy since I’d already got the patterns down. Going for the Plat now. Dropped it to easy for the last few trophies. Easy mode is like a totally different game. There’s a huge gap between that and default. I strongly recommend anyone who plays this sticks to the default difficulty on the first playthrough. It really does alter the experience for the worse.
