Forza 4

The Rivals mode is excellent fun, though unfortunately there aren't so many people on my friends list playing it as there were a couple of months ago. Just like the autolog stuff in Need For Speed Hot Pursuit, it's best when you have a lot of friends playing.

I'm coming back for more Crayman. Just let me pick up the season pass, so I can do more of the events.

Incidentally, I was racing on-line last night in the Drayson Racing Aston pictured on this thread. I was running first on the second to last corner of Laguna Seca, and the guy behind me rammed my car. I span 360 degrees and slammed sideways into the barrier. Then the cocky little shite messaged me to say "Ya ain't too fast for me!" My reg plate on the Aston reads 2FAST4U. The thing is, I'm pretty sure that this isn;t a contact sport, lol.

Just thought I'd add my latest car skins so you can all have a gander at them. I'm quite proud of these. Both are classic rally cars.

First up is the 1971 Nissan Skyline GTR

And also the 1982 Rothmans Ford Escort RS2000

Both cars can be gifted for free to MFGamers members. Let me know if you want them.

Cheers guys. Yeah each car is several hours work. I start with a car I like, and then Google a picture of the racing spec model. I usually get several pictures so I have different views to work with. Usually the main colours of the car are the easiest thing to do. For example, the Rothmans Escort above is a white car, with a blue boot, and several coloured stripes going from boot to bonnet. Once one set of stripes are done, they can be copied to different places.

The hardest thing is the company logo's, and racing stickers. I do all these from scratch, because if I download them from Forza marketplace, I can't upload the car design when it's finished. So making the stickers and logos usually involves a lot of farting around getting it to look right. The red STP logo on the Skyline above has 12 layers for what looks quite simple.

But I actually enjoy doing this. It was one of my favourite things when I was playing Trackmania, and I lose many hours messing around with car skins. But in Forza it makes me money too. The Gulf Oil Aston Martin in this thread has been sold over 40 times at 7000 credits a time.

I thought I'd show off my latest Forza 4 creation.

Sierra.jpg

The 1987 Ford Sierra Cosworth RS500 in Texaco livery. This one was one of the easier skins I've made, as most of the logos are quite simple. But I think it came out quite nicely.

I really need to pick up Forza 4. I've got a hankering for some monotonous racing. Went back to three the other evening to tick some more events off. I really want to get into the online though. Think it could be my CoD
