High-res Screenshot Thread

Would anyone be interested in a high res screen shot thread? There's one on gaf, is it worth trying to do one here? There's a few people with good pc nows, though I cant see it being the busiest thread ever still

Why not, although I only play at 1680x1050 anyway as my monitor is a few years old and also a 720p TV at the same time.

There seem to be a few console games that let you save photos at fairly decent resolutions too, eg. Forza.

Edit: also worth noting, the February 24th Steam update allows for taking screenshots in any game that supports the Steam overlay by pressing F12.

Yeah. It's probably a better looking game before you've fully built up everything

That grass and terrain in Crysis(?) looks amazing.

I'm not sure the steam capture captures screens as well as radeonpro, but it's less of a pain in the arse to get working

Alien vs Predator

the games a bit it's stupidly dark, and the aliens have a bit of sense, and are nippy as they circle around you using the walls and ceiling. It's maybe a bit too full on though so far, so I'm already starting to see the aliens as cannon fodder.

I might try to bump the AA up too, it's a little jaggy with 2x on

Oh yeah, also to mention that it came as a free gift with my card. Only it isn't compatible with my card unless you spend a day on google fixing stuff

I think lighting makes a good part of graphics looking nice. PC's have a canny ability to render smoother shadows, it makes screen shots look a lot more impressive.

Bioshock 1 & 2 are £3.50 on Steam today, so here's a bump. I do think the steam image grabber compresses things a bit, and I only played for 5 minutes because I'm knackered so I've only killed 4 Splicers

been playing spacechem on steam, it's mental, i was well proud of this solution, just because it works, not entirely sure how but that's not the point

Just tried out the screenshot functionality in Raptr. I think it's compressing these a bit.

the graphics in deus ex are a bit hit and miss, sometimes amazing, sometimes rubbish
