^ thanks! Yeah I think I got all the asteroid levels, I assume there’s no challenge levels on the first world?

i struggled to find everything even in the first world, been through a few levels again looking for stuff, and did find some more collectables. used a guide to get about 5 missing warps so i could finish all the levels. glad i used the guide as i doubt i would have found those warps on my own. on about 285 bots now. think that's me done unless there are more levels if you get all the bots/jigsaw bits? shame there don't seem to be any timetrials as that was possibly the best bit of the free version. odd but cool that they included mascots from other brands like really good overall imo.
  4. Don’t think I’ll be getting one of these but then I said that about the last lot of pro consoles and ended up buying them later more likely to upgrade the pc.
  5. £700, the video just finished, not sure if that was with or without disk drive, assume with? Edit - too slow edit2 - looks like no disk drive

Finished it last night, it’s a great game, I enjoyed it. Really liked the level where you’re a but I had some problems with it, the first isn’t the games fault but sometimes a game gets hyped up so much by seemingly the entire internet it can never live up to the hype I guess, this can mess with my head a bit and I end up being super critical and not enjoying it as much as I probably should, oh well. The options are bare bones, I think the camera could do with being faster, and higher to help judging jumps. There should be options to reduce the rumbling, sometimes it’s a bit much. Turn off the blowing, that’s annoying. The motion control bits after you get a new ship part are rubbish, but not that often to be fair. sony emailed me to say it took 12 hours, still stuff left to do though, on 250 collected robots. I’ll try and do all the stages at least even if I have to look up where the warps are. Probably up for the dlc as I like the challenge levels.
  7. Can I swap out the other games for more halo?
  8. dodonpachi DOJ at 17th! best list ever. well bullet hell games usually get overlooked so it's nice to see a mention there anyway
  9. Finished this the other day, it’s really really good imo probably game of the year so far (the other best games I’ve played this year so far are from last year I think). Not sure how long it took, steam says 30+ hours but I recon that’s from leaving the game on while doing other stuff and trying to play it while falling asleep. I did encounter something annoying though, watch out if you’ve finished the game and want to do the bonus levels, don’t use the level select on the main menu, you can press start to back out of the menu. Think I now need to do the last level again if I want to do the bonus levels.
  10. ^ yeah the rewind is cool, I still spend too long pondering moves when I should just try them and rewind if it doesn’t work. i sort of want to try this at a harder difficulty but it might be a bit long for that, see how it goes.
  11. This just came out a few days ago on PC (not seen any info about a console release?), it’s really good imo. It’s like a turn based tactics game with some emphasis on moving enemies around and throwing them out of windows, a bit like into the breach, but also quite a bit different too. But that’s why when I first saw a video of it I was interested in it because I really really like into the breach. you basically setup all the moves of your wizards, and can see what the enemy will do before ending a turn you have the chance to rewind move by move, but when you end the turn that’s it for that turn you can’t go back any more. You have lots of special powers like one wizard bouncing a laser type attack between enemies pushing them in different directions, preferably all out of different windows. at first I was struggling with the different abilities and making the most of them but I’ve got into it and using the abilities better now, at first I was getting through the levels ok but struggling with the extra objectives, now I’m getting a lot more of those done too but not always, they add to the difficulty so it’s not too easy. so yeah it’s very good the writing is funny too. ~£15 with a launch discount on steam.
  12. I’m on the fence with this one I think people make good points for exclusives, they need to sell the console, they can have a lot of money spent on them, and they can be very good. But on the other hand it’s good that people get to play games that might be locked away otherwise. So at the moment when ms release games on PlayStation can’t it be a good thing rather than Xbox is doomed like most of the internet takes it to mean.
  13. ^ nice one. I finished it the other day too, enjoyed it but not enough to play ng+

    Random News II

tactical breach wizards out today innit
  15. I got it because it was free but it didn’t work, I’ll give it another try at some point.
  16. project cars 3 - i understand why people hate it and it's fair enough as it's a big departure from 1 and 2, so fans of those seem to really hate it. 1 and 2 are sim racing games, whereas 3 is more inbetween sim and arcade like pgr and driveclub, i thought it was really good, it's certainly much better than the online impressions of it as people were expecting something different. can probably say similar about the ridge racer game bugbear made.
  17. This is like an odd mashup of different games, normal levels play out in 2 sections, the first you collect people, money, and repair trap type stuff, and spend points sort of repairing a path to the exit that the person you need to protect moves along, the 2nd part enemies start to appear, you can give the people certain weapons and positions (can do this stuff in both parts) and you need them to defend the person moving along the path, bit like a tower defence game, you can also join in the fight with a basic version of dmc style combat. theres also boss levels which play out a bit differently. And some variations on what resources you have to mix things up. And you can go back to previous areas to repair stuff to get points for upgrading the classes you can give the people fighting for you. And replay the levels with challenges to get more upgrade points. at first it’s pretty confusing at first as the tutorials tell you all the stuff you can do but I found don’t explain the overall structure very well. I don’t think it’s amazing but its pretty good, I like it. Think im quite near the end. Played about 12 hours iirc. It’s on gamepass I’d say it’s worth giving a go. Anyone tried it? the graphics and music are nice, although I’m not too keen on the monster designs.
  18. i think get whatever screens you want doesn't really matter about normal setup. personally my tv (4k) is my main monitor, have a smaller second monitor to the side, recently upgraded this to 1440p. for work i'd like 2 monitors the same (27" 1440p) but don't have the room, so it's one monitor and the laptop screen.
  19. Wasn’t intending to get this unless it got good reviews or get it later/cheap, but as it’s free… it shows the Konami logo then crashes to desktop. So I’ll wait till it’s fixed or google has more ideas.
  20. suspect you’ll still be able to download stuff if you own it, just not buy new stuff. Hope so anyway as I didn’t check/download anything!
  21. In beat saber I like how the blocks start off on the right side (colour matched) and move over to the other side if they need to, helps you get used to hitting blocks on the opposite side. taiko/donkey konga have a similar note chart, I don’t think it’s as easy to read as it should be, but donkey konga makes a nice improvement with a visual indication of which side to hit rather than relying only on the colour. i like stuff like this, it’s interesting how really small changes can make a nice difference and you can tell some games have a lot of thought put into small details like that.
  22. Yeah loads of games have difficulty spikes, like the last boss on kotor, but that didn’t really ruin the game, it’s still great, trying to think of ones where it ruins the game, I guess guacamele because I couldn’t get past the difficulty spikes.

    The Manga Thread

I did eventually finish 20th century boys, didn’t think the last book was as good as some of the earlier ones although I guess it wasn’t helped by reading it much later, overall it was very good though. also read some other shorter ones - Akira was pretty good, the story seems dragged out a bit though, I used to really like the film but seeing it more recently I’m not as sure about it, this sort of feels similar, maybe a bit overhyped, but still enjoyed it. And a silent voice which I thought was really good, really like the film too.
  24. Think it’s 3 years for gamepass ultimate, probably the same for the others? I think they are only stopping stacking on the tier they are getting rid of? Not totally sure on that though
