I haven’t completed Infinite Wealth yet but I think I actually prefer this overall. I’m not slagging off Infinite Wealth at all but something about this one just clicked with me more overall - from memory anyway. I prefer the smaller, more focused single party. I still prefer going around Japan than Hawaii. I think the main story and “villains” were more interesting in this. & just the surprise of the changes they made with this helped too. I had the opposite to you Andy regarding money too. I’m mostly skint in Infinite Wealth but didn’t really struggle in this. I think that’s down to the market mini game and kind of enjoying it in this whereas I could grind Dondoko but I really don’t want to engage with that shit anymore. I hate it. Like I saw I’m not slagging IW off at all, it’s still a 9/10. I’ve put 50-60 hours in it so far and loving it. But I prefer this one. From memory anyway.

Just because something is against the law doesn’t necessarily mean it’s bad. Laws get outdated or are made with just shitty ideologies in place. People push against certain laws all the time and they can change because of it. Most laws in business are made by the ones with most money. Sorry I just can’t emphasise with a big company throwing its weight about at all.

Agreed. The Switch is still a going concern so I agree it shouldn’t be emulated yet. But older stuff. Have at it! Unless companies are forced to give you a way to purchase old games on modern hardware it’s the only way you can play 90%+ of games so fuck em at that point. Also I do just believe you should be able to play a game anywhere (where its available) once you’ve bought it. You speak to anyone who doesn’t know how the system works and they can’t believe you have to buy a game twice if you wanted the option to play on PC and Switch for example. Because they’re right it is stupid. Yea there’s the whole 30% cut for Nintendo or whatever but something should be worked out there. Even if it cost slightly more for a multi format version. So I’m ok with using an emulator at that point too. Bought Dave the Diver in Switch? Emulate that fucker on PC. You’ve already bought it. Why should you have to pay the full price again just for the option of playing in another format? It’s the same game.

No reason Sony couldn’t let you install the digital version and make the disc act as a key too. Like it does once the data from the disc has been copied over to the console. It’s such a great feature it’s really annoying the PS5 doesn’t have it.

Ah ok, yea makes sense really. It’s shit, but understandable. Meant to only play games in same room anyway so guess that doesn’t change much. Least it still streams the disc in the drive though. Was utterly flabbergasted for a second then lol.

I’m still well into this. Taking my time, just reached chapter 13. Luckily I didn’t struggle at any bosses in chapter 12 - but I have been doing basically everything so was probably avoided a grind because of that. That triple boss was still difficult though but fucking awesome!!! Also, this scene. Beautiful. I haven’t really got much more to add what Andy hasn’t already said but it’s fantastic. Started unlocking some of the ultimate attacks now too - got 7+ jobs up to level 30 and they do not disappoint. Same with the later poundmates. Just amazing.

See that team killing stuff you mentioned goes against everything I’d heard on podcasts and whatnot. They made out as though this game actively discouraged that type of thing & you all got the same resources. That sounds properly shit.

I struggle with this too. I keep trying games in genres I know I’m not keen on or due to FOMO hoping they’ll click but usually don’t. Baldurs Gate 3 is a recent one. I banged my head against that for far too long. I’d have quit much sooner if it wasn’t for all the talk. Same with the 2 Switch Zelda’s. I’m currently looking at buying Helldivers 2 just because of the current hype even though it’s not for me and same with Pacific Drive as that’s getting a lot of extremely positive press - but it’s a survival game and I detest those! Doesn’t stop me thinking of trying it though. Games like Palworld I have no problem ignoring though. Don’t know why that’s different.

Ok, took a while but I got this and finally put a bit of time into GT7. I think that may the be the biggest wow moment I’ve had with a game for an extremely long time. It’s fucking witchcraft. I used a couple of cars I’ve owned in real life and it’s uncanny. It genuinely makes you better at he game too having the spatial awareness it provides. Im now want at selling my Xbox steering wheel and buying the PS5 equivalent. That’s the only drawback, it feels really weird feeling like you’re in a car but using the pad. I’ve got to say the eye tracking doesn’t work in this game either. I can only imagine it’s disabled? If you use your eyes to look in the mirrors or at the Rev counter etc it’s extremely blurry. Move your head though and they focus really well. Shame. Also played a bit of Thumper. Not as wow worthy obviously. But still feels pretty incredible being right “in there”. Adds another layer missing when playing just in the TV. A lot more tiring though. The hardware feels really good too just got to say. The headphones do an excellent job of faking surround sound as well considering they’re just in ear pieces.
