Finished it today (got credits, I haven't done the added content). It's nice and competently made, but to borrow a term it didn't blow my tits off. It's short, but never kept my interest long enough to do any of the 3 worlds in a single session. It feels like something that would have come out in the late PS1 or early PS2 period, and would have been a 7/10 game in mags and the websites at the time. Sometimes they're gems, sometimes they're alright. This was alright, and cost me less than the coffee I had at lunchtime.

I finished it today, I've had a great time with it. As you advance it keeps adding new objectives and things to do so the gameplay loop doesn't get stale. I got to the final section at the weekend but had put it off to complete some side objectives, but it puts you back on the water after the end and seems like you can carry on where you left off. There's a free DLC crossover content with Dredge on Steam, but I haven't played that yet, so haven't looked into it.

I played 30-ish minutes of it via game pass before the Christmas break, but it didn't grab me. I also had an issue that I couldn't fix where there was no sound, which did detract from the experience a bit.

I saw the Steam version for under £3 on CDkeys, so bought it yesterday.

Something I didn't figure out with loot until quite a while into the game: you can send stuff to camp and it will appear in your camp chest. Don't bother carrying camp supplies with you, just send it to camp and it's still available when take a long rest. Mark stuff you intend to sell as 'wares' and you can filter to view that stuff in the trade screen. Also use your party as mules to avoid encumbrance.

I don't really play many multiplayer or survival games these days, but the idea of one massive single location is interesting, like a reverse No Man's Sky.

140hrs. I haven't played a lot in the last few weeks. I reached a point of no return warning in the last act on my last session, but there are some questlines I want to finish up before moving on.

The ones with really fine ground actual coffee in with the freeze dried stuff, which doesn't dissolve so the bottom of the cup just ends up as mud.

Their response to people asking how they intend to discount repeat installations, charity bundles, giveaways and other installations that don't come from a sale is basically "We can't tell you, but trust us".

Brilliant game, also it's mega expensive for Gamecube these days (I sold mine for £130 a couple of years ago) so it's great that it's more easily available again.
