I had a quick look to see if there was a thread on this already and couldn't see one. I can understand why, as there's very little to the game itself, but t really deserves on, because that premise is fantastically simple but fiendishly difficult.

You rotate an arrow while walls come into the centre and try to carve a path between the gaps for as long as you can, in the meantime the screen pulses and rotates trying to throw you off your stroke. It really is one of those zen games where you start watching yourself play and wonder how the fuck you just did it.

Here's my best time in the short time I've spent with it.

Those squares really fuck my shit up!

I was playing it last night and I broke some personal records!

I broke a minute on the Hexagoner difficulty!.. I got to 60:46, so only half a second past but I think I can beat it... i think I just got too excited when I knew I was about to do it and fucked up.

I also tried to do Hexagonest some more but I think that might be too much for me. The movement speed and the formations I can just about deal with but when the game spins quickly it is really distracting, even on simple formations and my mind just can't keep up with that. I can just manage 19:32 on that, and even then I think I was lucky.

Hexegoner is the middle one. Hexagonest is the hardest.

It is a game that makes you feel special.

And I agree with playing harder difficulties to train up. When you hit the minute mark you do unlock Super versions of the levels and I try to do those but I struggle to get more than 10 seconds on those (well, 16 on Super Hexagon and about 10 on Super Hexagoner)

48:07! Take that Sly (you're the only one on my Steam leaderboard).

This game is brilliant. I just played it for an hour and a half. The last time i played anything with gameplay this perfect was Guitar Hero. I couldn't stop playing. Reminds me of Catherine too. Pure genius.

75:19 now, lots of hexagons but it's hard to stretch it out. I think I saw a nasty new shape in my last hexagon (I could have sworn i've seen the same thing in hexagoner) but it could have been an old pattern sped up.

I got 45 seconds in hexagoner but it was a lucky easy run. I have not mastered any of the strange patterns on hexagoner except the "bunny hop" one (that's what I call it!). There's more variety in hexagoner so you don't get the same repitition that you do in hexagon. There's one pattern that kills me every time in the exact same way. It's like the bunny hop one (i.e. it's a swirl) but instead of each move being in the same direction it's one of those back and forth patterns. I always swing too far on the first one and hit the wall on the reverse. But I'm only guessing, i'll need to see it lots more times to figure to it out...

I know the one you mean. You have to hit it with a ridiculous amount of confidence, go left to right without thinking about it and hope for the best. I probably manage it about 60% of the time now when it does come up.
