PS Vita

Tonight I played one of the most visual and technically impressive PlayStation Vita games - Pure Chess. O'my where the visual a treat for the eyes and the controls where sublime. If you have not giving it a go yet I would highly recommend it.

On another note I've noticed that a few Vita games have gotten box retail version in the U.K. that are just digital downloads in the United States. I call bullshit on this practice. If a publisher can manufacture a English language version of a game for retail for one region I think they can dam well do it for another region.

I found out that Dragon Ball Z Battle of the Z will be the next casualty of this practice. Seeing how Namco Bandai won't do box retail for the game in America and doing the math (GB size and the price they're going to charge for a digital copy) I'm going to find a British shop that will import a boxed copy to the United States.

I also tweeted Tecmo Koei America today to see if Toukiden: Age of Demons will be suffering the same fate. If so I'll import that from the U.K. too.

Here is 11 minutes tutorial video for Sony Computer Entertainment upcoming PS Vita game Freedom Wars

<iframe width="560" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/YEjFpyAzisM" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

In Freedom Wars, the player is a criminal who born with the burden of a one million year prison sentence. Seeking freedom, you volunteer (fight) to rescue civilians.

Isolation cells are the unique private rooms the prison capital Panopticon gives to its prisoners. However, the prisoners’ lives are almost constantly under surveillance. And what’s more, the living android “Accessory” working as your partner and guardian is around, making personal freedom almost non-existent.

Connecting the isolation cells is the relatively large area Low Street. Although this is a place of relaxation for criminals given permission to go out, whispers are forbidden. There is a special structure from which everything (including the entrance to each isolation cell) can be looked out over, making for a setting of thorough surveillance.

I'm guessing this is the Japanese version of Youtube?? How this got released on the North American PS Vita is anyones guess but after watching that video I download the app. It fucken rocks even though I don't understand what the fucken they are saying.

Edit: You can live stream games off of Vita with the Nico Nico app. Right now the feature is Japan only, but it's looks like it is coming to America as well. My first impressions is the app needs work. I had more video failed error screens then videos that worked. Most videos are in Japanese only with very few videos in English. Though there is tons of fucken anime on the site.

I ended up getting txk anyway, I don't really get it, it's really fast and I don't really feel in control of what's going on

still not really in control and still not convinced its amazing or anything, but played some more txk and having some fun with it now.

I kinda tend to agree with you.

I bought it and played it for a couple of hours, but I've not really felt compelled to go back to it. It looks like a retro game with tarted up graphics, and kinda plays the same as a retro game.

Perhaps if I was more into my pumping dance music and, I dunno, took more drugs, then I'd be hooked on the game, but as it stands I'm left feeling like I jumped onto a hype bandwagon.

New game from Sony European studio XDEV called The Hungry Horde. It looks like a slighty tweaked version of When Vikings Attack.
