retroed
I just upgraded my Super Mario World VC purchase, after transferring all the old data from my Wii. SMW on the Gamepad.
Hendo
Doing a Wii transfer onto the WiiU. It's a fiddly process with me only bothering to use one Wiimote, but the pay off with the Pikmin carrying the data across has been worth it! Not sure what I'm gonna do with my Wii now. Hendo
I've put my Wii away already. The Cube is back at the old folks place with all the games. Might fetch it back and fire some up.
DANGERMAN
When I did the transfer I think I lost the home brew channel off both consoles, and I'm not sure I have the games to get it back on
retroed
I still have homebrew channel on my Wii. I copied everything off the SD card before the transfer, then dragged it back on after it was complete. Seemed to work.

radiofloyd
Metroid Prime developer Retro Studios could work on a Miyamoto-led project that’s coming, “directly in the future,” according to Nintendo producer Kensuke Tanabe. The Texas-based studio is currently working on Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze, but what comes next is a mystery. Retro Studios president Michael Kelbaugh and Nintendo producer Kensuke Tanabe spoke with ONM recently, and during the chat Kelbaugh stressed, “Tanabe-san and his team at SPD [Nintendo Software Planning & Development] are our primary contacts at Nintendo. Please let me be clear: games developed at Retro Studios are a collaboration between members from Retro Studios, SPD and other entities throughout the Nintendo family. It’s a symbiotic relationship that consists of members from all over the world; we are very honoured to be working with such a talented team.” Batting the chat-ball back the other way, Tanabe added, “We consider Retro as part of the Nintendo family and a very capable game development studio. As a Nintendo development team, they will keep working not only with SPD, but also with the teams in Kyoto. They might even work on a title that Miyamoto-san leads directly in the future. “However, the SPD team assigned to Retro is working together with them as a single team and I hope that will continue this way – on Mario Kart 7, for example, SPD staff were involved as co-ordinators. I am saying this because a very interesting and stimulating chemical reaction occurs when the two parties from different languages and cultures are united under Nintendo’s game production philosophy, and that chemical reaction results in extraordinary ideas.” Call us suspicious, but that seems like an odd theoretical to drop in there. It follows Miyamoto’s claim that Retro Studios are ready to tackle the Zelda franchise. Could it be involved in the Zelda Wii U project? http://www.vg247.com/2014/01/13/metroid-prime-studio-could-work-on-miyamoto-led-project-says-nintendo/
Pikman
Still happy about my Wii U It does sound like it will be Zelda, although maybe they will surprise us. Everyone see that Trine 2 is half price on the e-store from the 16th Jan for a bit?
HandsomeDead
I'd be very surprised if the next game they do is a Zelda game. I think they may do in the future at some point, but I'm fairly sure Aonuma has been hinting heavily that his team will be making the next one. But I dunno what this could be but I'm excited to find out.

Manicm
Just having a too much time on the internet day while watching the fa cup games, but it has made me think about the wii u, we have a fair few owners on this forum what games would you like to see on the wii u going forward and will any of them be system sellers? This is the list i would like to see on the wii u: StarFox, possibly a new adventures style game maybe? i loved this on the cube even though i didn't complete it as i got stuck but it had the odd flight levels and on the ground stuff was great fun. F-Zero, i know MK8 has gravity style bits but i feel F-zero does deserve a sequel, i mean we had wipeout on the ps3/vita and f-zero is universally know as the better of the two. Metroid, as i said above really feel the wii u would be perfect for a. summary of the last 3 games maybe a best of type of game, or a proper next gen reboot. Luigi's Mansion, i keep going on about this, loved the mini game with nintendoland, got to be worth nintendo doing a full sized version. There are others but the above are the one's i would like to see and probably in that order, chances are we won't see any of them, guess time will tell
DANGERMAN
There was an article on eurogamer about how Miyamoto is Nintendo's problem rather than Iwata. I've no real opinion on that but I will say that Nintendo seem to focus on his history over their general one.
