Liked that Grandaddy track a lot. I'd heard it quite a few times, but didn't know who it was. Don't know what to say about the Josh Groban one really. It was an ok medley, funny in places. I saw him on Buzzcocks too, he seemed to take the piss taking really well.

I need to start listening to music again to be able to contribute to this thread. For now Relax by Portable Payback (Mark 7 and Soup from Jurassic 5)

Went to see Deftones last night, they basically played a greatest hits set and it was fucking brilliant, so..

Brilliant! Best Deftones song and certainly because of Maynard's voice. I only like a handful of their songs, bought the first album when everyone was raving about it and found it dull bar "7 Words" and "Bored".

That's a fantastic choice. I have this concert on DVD, it's one of the favourites in my collection, such a mesmerising performance. I'd been thinking about putting one from that show up recently, but you've beaten me to it.

Now I didn't hear all of it as it didn't stream properly, even after a number of attempts. But it's that rather big sounding, wall of noise song that makes you feel quite small and leaves you alone with your own depressing interpretation.. So for a change of pace, Slipknot

It took me a while to appreciate Slipknot, it wasn't until I saw them live that I got it. Amazing intense band, live. Shame there were so many young idiots there in cheap boiler suits and terribly made masks.

I like that song, it's probably the closest they've come to a pop song but it's still not likely to be enjoyed by old grannys.

I really don't think much of that. For every song Radiohead do that's amazing, there are a lot that seem like failed projects to me.

Don't blame me, I just knew there was a cover besides that Korn one and probed as you knew what it was. That is pretty bad, though. It's odd 'cos wasn't Mel B one of the stronger vocalists in Spice Girls? That is pretty damn flat and lacks anything. Gotta love that video, it just reminded of those computer animated bits on Videogaiden.

I've put some Malcolm Middleton up before but I've been listening to him a bit lately so it's all I have in my head.

I really liked that, it wasn't what I was expecting at all. It started off a bit like Silversun Pickups to me. Will have to check out more of his stuff as everything I've heard, I've liked.

This was in the "suggestions" from youtube for some bizarre reason and I love it so I'm picking it.

A lot of the comments seem to suggest it's been on X Factor but I don't watch it - love the old mardy queen though.

I've never really got that song, it reminds me of weddings and car sickness. I dont mind Elton though, a few tracks anyway. In fact I think some of his stuff gets overlooked because of what he's become. I did however like the Radiohead track, great song off a great album (although it meant I couldnt post Pyramid Song)

Another band I'd heard the name of but not heard anything by them. Didn't sound like how I expected them to sound, I was expecting hardcore punk or something.

I enjoyed it, though I'm not that fussed about investigating any further. S'alright.

The album this is off ("All Disco Dance Must End In Broken Bones") is a sadly over-looked gem.

reminds me of Peeping Tom, or a more pop Massive Attack, very dub. I liked it, didnt even cringe when the rap started, but I'm not sure I'd listen to it again. Not bad though

I'm not really fond of the County influence, but other than that it sounded quite good. And not bad for a relaxed sunday morning surrounded by snow.

I still haven't been listening to much music recently, so haven't had much new to contribute. But here: I'm not particularly familiar with the band, but I really like the video for this.

I haven't listened to the other 2 songs yet, but I'm not a massive fan of that beatles track DC. There's a few songs on Rubber Soul I do like, and you can tell Lennon wrote that, but it just doesn't really do anything for me. It's not quite got the melody, and the punch musically some of their other stuff from that time has. Not that I hated it though, it's a decent song

Love the harmonies on that. The verses are alright but it's the chorus and harmonies that make that song, brilliant.

This has been stuck in my head for days, or at least the intro has. One of the all-time great drum fills/intros. I found the Vietnam pictures vid by accident but it fits due to killing Charlie last night.

I really like that Duran Duran song. It's a bit long but it's got such a strong bitter melody im amazed someone hasn't covered it. I'm also amazed you dont hear it more actually, I know a few people that like it but I cant remember the last time I heard it

That Vietnam song was alright too, probably too familiar to really enjoy. I think my mum used to listen to it all the time, which has kind of killed it a bit for me (not that my mum likes it, just that it's been overplayed for me)
