My copy got posted on 18th but still not arrived ?. Gutted! Have to wait 14 days before I can do anything about it too. Mega annoying. After all this news about the grinding issue I may get a refund instead of another copy it if it doesn’t arrive now though and buy it when it’s significantly cheaper and/or fixed.

I’m not going to lie, I really like that design. It’s ridiculous but oh so good. £200 though and a meagre selection of games? Bit much. if they’d included some of the Marvel and Vs games like CoTA or X-Men vs SF though I’d have definitely got it. Those games are near £100 alone on the Saturn (the only ports that matter). I understand why they aren’t - licensing. But they should have got it done. They managed to get AvP in there which has always been a nightmare for them so why not the Vs and original Marvel games?

Not far off got a Pro and X so going to be a very long time before I pay another £400+ for a console. Although if it is fully BC with PS4 (as it fucking should be!) then I could sell that to help pay for it... Feel a bit better about still buying games on PS4 now too knowing I can play them on the next one. I’d started buying almost 100% of the time on the Xbox because I was a lot more confident they’d include BC. Now I can buy more based on price and performance than worrying if my games will become almost useless when changing to next gen on one console.

Very expensive!! I’ve seen the normal S in sales for less than £200 with a couple of games many times. Even down to £160 a few times. So get locked into paying more for games, never being able to trade in or sell games to make back some money and losing a 4K Blu Ray drive for about the same price and sometimes more as the “regular” console. Makes sense... Although it could be genius on MS’part, people who buy digital only seem to not care about being ripped off or paying more for less if it saves them up to a minute inconvenience changing a disc so why wouldn’t they pay more for a digital based console too? MS must know this so can charge more for it. Pretty smart really.

Agreed, it’s a great mode just a bit too much for me but great for those with the skill. I meant to bring light to a brilliant quality of life thing in this too, if you pause the game it lets you know how long ago the last Checkpoint/save was. Such a simple but brilliant idea! I wish all games had this, I hate it when I’m not sure when a game has last save so I’m scared to turn it off.

I’d love to change mine too but the risk just isn’t quite worth it.

Wow, Monster Hunter World?! Awesome, I’m intrigued by that but didn’t want to actually spend the money trying it after the demo didn’t do much for me.

Play Zelda BotW - just started this, turns out people may have been right about it. Already seems pretty special even from my short time with it. DmC - Finished the main game, going through Vergil’s Downfall now. Still awesome. Driveclub - Folling the news they’re going to be shutting down servers and taking off sale soon made me fire it up again before it gets crippled. Still bloody fantastic! Been a real lack of arcadey but semi serious racing games like PGR this gen so it’s a good job this one is so brilliant. Love having proper well designed made up road courses too instead of the usual real life tracks or another damn open world - which IMO are never as good. Even the excellent Horizon games. Want Mortal Kombat 11 - Gimme, gimme, gimme!!! Can’t wait! Bin Unnecessary stamina bars. Hate them! Just let me run around in zelda! The world is massive, I don’t need slowing down waiting for a stupid green circle to refil. Don’t mind it for climbing and gliding as a restriction but it’s just not needed for running around. New Super Mario U Deluxe - 4 worlds in. It’s not bad, it’s not great. It’s just a bit dull and boring. Edit - moved from play, got a bit further and decided to sack it off, not doing anything for me at all.

Thank you. Regarding the cooking I’m sure I’ve tried doing that and they just bounced out but will try again. Yea, I understand it for climbing to restrict unlimited access but it goes against the whole exploration thing when they attach it to running. I’ve already seen a few points of interest I’d like to check out but couldn’t be arsed to get to them because of the running/stamina thing.

As some of you may know I’ve recently picked this up. Started it today, you know what? It just might be quite special this. I’m not anywhere near the biggest Nintendo or Zelda fan and there’s a lot of things about that this game I normally hate but it’s proper impressed me so far, loving it. Just got the glider and done a couple of shrines towards that main quest village I’m heading towards as a idea on progress. Couple of things, worth killing animals? How do I cook? I never saw a tutorial bit either so need to check that out. I can parry? How? As for issues? Why doesn’t it auto equip weapons and shields when they break? The stamina bar can fuck right off!! Already annoying me trying to run around and having to baby the run button. Speaking of buttons, as always the controls are completely unintuitive since it’s on a Nintendo console. I’ve died more times due to pressing incorrect button or forgetting which button to press because some don’t make sense. Menu pages are operated with the bumpers or triggers Nintendo not the right stick! The alphabet goes A-B and X-Y not B-A and Y-X, fuckinghell, always takes me ages to get used to the layout again when I play Nintendo consoles, then it fucks me up when I go back to Xbox and PS. This is a general issue though, still annoying! The actual game game is glorious so far though. ?

Yea I remember that and never inderstood it either. I love it. The environmental design is definity one of its strongest points, the way they can explain away any batshit thing they want to do by saying it’s in Limbo is pretty smart too.

RDR 2 should have won narrative IMO. Very happy it didn’t win the overall award though!

Some of the environments in this are just amazing to go through.

Really enjoyable as always! Glad you’re enjoying Smash Bros. more than I did. As for NSMB Deluxe, we’ll its just a bit dull really isn’t it? I’ll keep at it a bit longer see if it gets more interesting towards the end but it’s not really doing much of note. Shame.

Absolutely gutted about the Driveclub news. It is honestly one of my favourite games of this gen as well as one of my favourite driving games of all time and the leaderboard integration was part of the reason for that. The DLC for it was fantastic too, unlike most racing games which just give you extra cars with nothing else to do with them if you’ve played through the game this would give you extra cars and more events to complete using only the dlc cars. It was really well thought out and they were pretty cheap for what they were. Im not far off a platinum in it, and almost 100%d the dlcs, will have to get it done before this happens. Really shitty news. Wouldn’t mind quite so much if we were part of the way into next gen. This seems far too soon IMO.

I’ve recently started playing this again due to not affording DMC V at the moment. & it’s on Game Pass.Almost forgot how much I love it, still brill now. Just done the Succubus boss which is absolutely fucking brilliant. Just wanted to remind people of this.

Would have got a 9/10 if it wasn’t for the stupid amount of grinding, the map, the progression system in general, leaderboards being hidden behind a button press on the map as well as behind the Ubisoft Club, Friends’ leaderboards being a shadow of their former selves, constant loss of Ubisoft connection issues - which also stopped the extreme tracks from showing at first. Among a few other little niggles and stupid design choices. So as as it stands. 7/10 Good job it plays as well as it does and I love Trials or I would have sacked it off about level 50...

First of all, that avatar is brilliant! 2nd, congrats. 3rd, is there a easy way to see your first ever achievement? I had a quick look on the app but I can only organise via the most recent games I’ve got achievements in. I think mine was 2006 though on PGR 3.

Played the beta, it’s fucking excellent! Feels great and looks stunning. Finished the tower twice, really liking Kabal, his finishers are brilliant. Had a couple of online matches too, no problem getting them and felt lag free. Had a little pole around the customisation too, loving some of the costumes. Cant wait for this!! ?
