While it very well may not be the first (there could've been one or two before) this is the one that stands out in memory... I'd just been given my mates Spectrum 48k, the dad of said mate was a regular at Makro where I saw this one Sunday... it kind've stood out for a couple of reasons, tbh I liked the game itself too.

I spent that long with the game over a drawn out time frame that I'm drawing a blank on that... plus the whole game can sort of feel that way depending how you play it.

So I went ahead and finished this yesterday... First off complaints... the story (what there is of one) is absolute guff and to be fair they may as well not bothered, it's probably worse than the first game in that regard. It lacks areas to stand against Bluemoon Tower, The Catacombs and The Shadow Fort from the first game, the amount of decent creatures cut (Hydra, Cockatrice and giant Gorecyclopse to name a few) there's a lack of end game grind which you could do with The Everfall and it seriously needs either a hard mode or difficulty sliders. And even after moaning about all that the game is so moreish... I literally jumped straight back in to NG+ with my same characters and started all over again... this time I think I'm not gonna rent Mages or Sorcerer and just roll melee class characters, I've already been in stitches watching Laurana (Thief) and my rented Fighter and Warrior steamroll a Troll by throwing exploding barrels, rocks and sometimes each other at it. I really hope my end game issues get sorted with an expansion because I'm definitely not ready to say goodbye to this anytime soon.

If memory serves a couple of the games got the fps boost... but we didn't get a resolution boost unfortunately. Also, Motive started work on an Iron Man game almost immediately after finishing Dead Space... and now they're involved with Battlefield too so they'll be getting closed soon... just like Visceral.😢😢

These openworld areas are really damaging how I feel about this game now... Cosmo Canyon is just as fucking horrible as the previous area. It's getting to the point where i just cant be bothered carrying on. If it wasn't for helpful people putting up videos on YouTube on how to navigate these shitty areas I would've given up entirely by now.

I had to Google the film (Underwater) and realised I'd actually watched it... I don't even remember who was in it...😂... it must've been a drunken second film.
