HandsomeDead
3D remake coming in February for PC, PS4 and Vita Quote The Secret of Mana 3D remake will have a complete new visual style as well as voiced characters (a choice of English or Japanese), some new dialogue scenes, and a newly arranged soundtrack. It looks like a much newer game now, albeit a slightly more cartoony one. There is mention of upgraded gameplay but no details on how it has changed. It's still got three player local co-op and is gonna be a full priced release. Really surprising news.
retroed
That graphical overhaul looks awful. I'll play the superior original on SNES Classic Mini instead.

DANGERMAN
I want to give Secret of Mana another try, I want to like it but both times I've started it it's done nothing for me. Ideally Nintendo will sort their shit out and get Virtual Console purchases migrated over, if not, if this is cheap I might go for this instead
illdog
Wow, this is unexpected good news. Consider me onboard the hype train.

radiofloyd
Looks hideous. Also, to quote the Game Informer article: "We also get a glimpse of the local multiplayer, a new feature that allows you to complete quests with up to two other friends. " Uh huh... Whiskey_chaser
Wait - so the two people I played through the SNES version with were imaginary!? I'm conflicted with this. SoM is my all time favourite game. I paid about £120 for a battered old copy years back just to be able to blast through it again on the SNES. This does look awful, but i'll probably end up getting it and then hating myself afterwards.
