Sly Reflex
I like Pedro a lot. It's dumb fun. I hope it doesn't outstay its welcome though.
Sly Reflex
I'm doing Who Pressed Mute on Uncle Marcus. I'm not sure I care for this type of FMV game. I mean it's fine, but also a bit shit? I'm looking forward to finishing it so I can move on to the next thing.
Sly Reflex
Flying through games it looks like Metal Hellsinger is good though, yeah? Check it out. Little cracker of a game.
Sly Reflex
Well, that game sort of shit itself towards the end with a bitch of a last boss. I am a little bit gutted as it was super good up to then. A lesson to game devs. Don't put shitty final bosses in your game, it's the last thing people will see and it sours the whole experience. Next up is some Amnesia game. I hope it is not shit. I am thinking it is more than likely going to be shit.
Sly Reflex
Don't play Amnesia: Rebirth. It's a load of plodding shite.
DANGERMAN
I want to give Machine For Pigs another go at some point. I remember it looking good and having atmosphere, but getting over half an hour in and absolutely nothing happening
one-armed dwarf
I didn't play much of the WWI Amnesia (The Bunker) but it seems to have a cool gimmick and was received rather well It also has a really really loud gun. Like tinnitus inducing. I thought that was cool for some reason
Sly Reflex
It was some fucking nonsense. I mean I could go into it a bit deeper, but I'm not gonna. It's a case of you walk like you have bowling balls in your pockets, there are "puzzles" that are not really puzzles and the jump scares is just a thing that layers over the screen. Absolute fucking turbo gash. If you want a walking sim, go play a proper walking sim. If you want a horror game, go play a proper horror game. Sly Reflex
This has unexpectedly been good. I don't think it's on the level of HADES or anything like that, but I feel like you could do a lot worse. I dig the permanent upgrades that are cross family member.
Sly Reflex
OK, lads. I'm gonna be straight with you. You lot have slept on Children of Morta. No thread on it and I can't find any mention of it outside of this thread? It sort of feels like a predecessor to HADES. Persistent upgrades between roguelike shit. When you die something always happens when you get to home base. Persistent upgrade trees that have levels to them that boost all your classes. Lovely art style. Basic but fun dungeon crawling. It's currently on sale on Steam, I'm not sure of other platforms, but do me a favour and throw them a fiver and enjoy this overlooked gem.
mfnick
It was on Gamepass a while ago and I gave it a go. Thought it was alright for a couple of hours but fell off quick. I’m not a roguelite guy though so 🤷♂️
Sly Reflex
Hey, you tried it, that's all I can ask.
Sly Reflex Posted yesterday at 00:05 Author Share Posted yesterday at 00:05 That's Children or Morta finished. Annoyingly I stopped the stream like 30 minutes form the end, so that sucked. I still recommend it, although the boss stuff is sort of weird as they get easier as time passes. I don't know if it's just poor balancing or design on the front end, but I don't think that difficulty would have gone amiss on the boss fights further into the game. By the end they were just fancy encounters with bigger health bars. The rest though, properly lovely. DOOM 2016 up next, it's looking like.
