Is it "fight In the car park" time? ;-)

There's a fair bit out this Xmas, but Im not excited about COD Blops 2 as I don't play online anymore, same goes for Halo 4, Assassin's Creed I'm sick of, Resident Evil 6 sounds a fucking train-wreck, and the new Hitman game could go either way really. Xcom I've never played, so that'll be a rental.

Oh, and I don't like football, so Fifa's neither here nor there for me.

So yeah, Borderlands 2 For The Win :-)

Ha, it did sound a bit like that, but it was more 'Get out for mentioning Christmas in September'. Id say im looking forward to Halo more, because Borderlands is pretty out of the blue for me, but I am stupidly excited about Borderlands, even though I just found out that the highest speed I can expect in my NEWLY BUILT house is a wanky 2.5 Mbps, its five times slower than my old flat with crappy wires miles from the exchange, so that might put a dampener on the co-op fun as most reviews ive read state that single player pales in comparison to co-op.

Which format?

If its PC then DangerlessMan's thread in Ed Super Deals is the best, if not then a lot of the pre-order deals have expired for consoles, im going with Sainsbury's as its 34 ish quid there. I saw it fairly cheap in Blockbuster yesterday so maybe try there too.

Edit: ChaChing

http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2012-10-24-borderlands-legends-is-an-isometric-action-rpg-due-on-halloween

By Jeffrey Matulef Published 24 October, 2012

Gearbox has officially blown the lid on its mysterious iOS title Borderlands Legends, due on 31st October for $4.99 on iPhone and $6.99 on iPad.

Like the console Borderlands titles, Legends is an action-RPG with plenty of loot drops, character customisation, and it even stars the returning foursome that made up the first Borderland's playable cast. Unlike its console brethren, Legends is played from an isometric perspective.

Even more unique is that a single player can control up to all-four characters simultaneously, according to an Entertainment Weekly exclusive first look at the game. The report also noted that objectives will be randomised and players will have an "unlimited ability to level-up." There will also be a "strategic cover system" and boss fights too.

"With intuitive, touch-based commands and slick UI, Borderlands Legends combines the inventory and skill tree management that gamers already love about the franchise with a layer of strategy that is popular on mobile devices," said Gearbox's Marion Dreo on the developer's official site.

There are pictures in the link. I'm not sure how it works. It sort of looks ambiguous. I actually think a turn based strategy like Advance Wars would be a good fit for a game of this type.

I think I'll wait for impressions before getting this, glad they haven't gone the first-person view though.

EA did a Dead Space iOS game and it was pretty much standard Dead Space - looked lovely but you can't play that kind of game with touch controls.
