And im done. The best compliment that i can give this game is that i played a second run through without getting bored. Normally i give up half way through (Mass Effect, Mario Galaxy, Metroid Prime, Resi 5, Deep Space, Super Princess Peach, Lost Magic and on an on an on an on an on) but I wanted to play through as much as the first time. I'll give the game a little break now but i can see myself going back again - roll on DLC.

Jim, its yours, PM me your fatherly address.

How much of a challenge was Hard in the end? Did you get stuck on bits or still breeze through?

The bosses were more of a challenge, they dealt out massive damage but nothing a few goes wont sort out. The rest of its the same, i think it took me about 6 hours second time through. Also, i stumbled across a little trick...

Save your armour upgrades for when you are fighting a boss (so make sure you level up just before a boss battle), and if you find your ass in your hands, upgrade your armour and it refills your energy aswell. Kind of cheating but it saved my ass during a tight battle in the pump rooms (when your in a hexagonal space and a mutated henchman busts out of the centre lift doors, followed by a ton of normal henchies).

Free Batman: Arkham Asylum DLC Next Week

Written Tuesday, September 08, 2009 by Dan Webb

On the menu screen of the recently released Batman: Arkham Asylum, a scrolling ticker has indicated that there will be free downloadable content for the title in 9 days time.

The ticker simply states, "free downloadable content coming in 9 days."

Not much else to report other than that just yet. UK PR for Eidos have refused to comment (go figure). All we know is, it's coming in 9 days - which we put around the 17th.

I'm still loving this. Taking my time with it, I've just

escaped killer croc's lair

I'm guessing there's not too much left? I've loved everything about the game thus far. It's definitely up there with the best single player experience I've had this year so far, if not the best.

I don't want it to end. :(

I'm glad I'll have it done before I'm on holiday though. I'm not sure whether to keep, or trade while it's hot.

The riddles that appear on screen in certain areas? I've been doing some of them, but haven't gone out of my way to do them all. I could go back through and do the ones I've missed, though.

I love the way Batman's cape has become worn and tethered throughout the game.

You should've picked up most or all or the map/plans thing, so you can see the Riddler's stuff on your map as a floating question mark. I went and cleared up most of that before I finished, and then found the last ones after I was done. Adds a bit more time to it and is good fun. :)

I rented this today and absolutely loving it, I think I know enough about Batman to get the utmost out of it but its certainly accessible if you've only ever seen the films.

I think its unfair of Ben to say the Joker isn't funny, OK he's not "fall down dead" funny, but he's certainly got a very twisted sense of humour and what I've experienced of the game thus far is very typical of what he'd do, long drawn out torture. He's not a comedian per-se, he's a play on the whole Clown phobia really, cheap simple gags, mixed in with a bit of torture just for good measure and the script writers seem to have nailed that perfectly.

Just left the

Bat Cave on Arkham Island and working my way through the catacombs

Already had my standout gaming moment of the year that will take some beating

Scarecrows bit, genuinely frightening when you're playing and have a set of headphones on, especially the ones that elminate any external sound

Definetly a contender for Game of the Year, can't think of anything thats come out so far thats made me think that.
