I'm nearing the end of it now, no idea what's going on at all. Might have to watch it over again.

Pretty sure I just had this scene come up. Also, bit creepy how Horne has hired a woman who looks exactly like his daughter. I remember you saying one episode was the greatest episode of television you’d ever seen, which number was that? I’m starting up part 8 now.

Seeing as I’m still knee deep in episodes of the Knowledge Fight podcast, it’s hilarious when an old character turns up and is a perfect copy of the Alex Jones playbook. Peddle fear and then peddle your tat. I’m finding the “Dougie” sections a bit tedious - I just want to watch the man do his thing again.

Micheal Cera’s performance, I’m gonna put that down in the “chaff” pile.

3rd episode in and just had the most David Lynch of all David Lynch scenes. A woman with eyes sewed shut, fast slipping backwards and forwards editing and odd rumbling noises. I did get most of the way through the Comic Con panel which is the extra on disc 2, but stopped it halfway as it started mentioning some spoilers as they did it halfway through the series being shown on TV. It did give the chance for Kyle to give a great anecdote on how Lynch reacts when someone tries to ad-lib, though.

First two episodes in and I have more questions than answers. Some returning characters look barely changed from 25 years ago, some, like Laura’s mum, I only noticed it was them once the credits rolled. I’m most intrigued to see how supposedly it answers stuff mentioned in the film. The only thing from the film that really stuck with me as needing an answer was what happened with the Bowie scene. As I understand it, there were plans to do a trilogy in film, and that bit would make more sense later on, but the film was received so poorly that those plans got scrapped. I love the film, and especially Sheryl Lee’s astonishing acting, but in case anyone hasn’t watched anything of any of it, for the love of god, watch in order, don’t watch the film first.

The episodes on disc are mostly split as two episodes per disc, with the option to watch the pair as one feature, but I’m watching them one by one instead. I remember reading the cast before the series came out, but was surprised to see a grey haired Matthew Lillard turn up. Kind of wrecked my memory of him as a twenty something stoner.

Unbelievably, a search for Twin Peaks provided no thread and even no mention in the TV shows thread. So, I'm a huge fan of the show but until now haven't seen the third series. That has been rectified and I've just started the first episode. Lots of chaff in the original shows, so I'm expecting there to be some in here, but interested to see how it all pans out.

Watching The Irishman now. Younger version of Pesci looks a bit weird. I’m not sure whether I’m noticing the CG because I know it’s there or because it’s obvious but Bob looks fine.

Just finished watching the 3 episodes available. Really enjoyed them, looks great, plenty of fan service without going over board. They’ve done a grand job, so far.

A mate told me the other day that the script (or at least plot points) are out there and it’s incredibly disappointing. I didn’t want too many details in case it’s right but I asked about two specific things and got answers. Should anyone be interested I’ll reply in spoiler tags but right now I’ll leave it at that. To be clear, I didn’t ask about the overall plot or ending, just a couple of questions about stuff that came out of the trailer. And the answers I got back were relatively vague, so I don’t know how the film will pan out.

The payment model and those prices are insane. Hard pass.

I honestly don’t understand what the problem is. The Games folder is for impressions and on-going adventures in whatever game you’re playing. If you have a bit about a game or several games but don’t feel it necessary to go into those threads, then post it here. It’s the same purpose as the Shout Thread in Off-Topic. Same goes for films that generally people use the film thread, but if it’s worth making a thread out of it, then do, or a mod will split the topic if there’s enough activity in it to do so.

Despite having plans on playing through a few other games, me and a mate started this from scratch and largely passed the pad getting through most of it in a couple of days. A few more missions left I think, but most of it is done. We picked up a couple of new teammates to play as but really just stuck with the first 3. We got stuck in the same place I originally stopped playing at (the ship with the first extra tough enemy) but after going back to clear out a couple of sections we avoided enemies on, we just tore through everything and we got really good at taking out a few enemies without getting spotted by the bulk of them. It’s not always possible, but when it is, always advised to wipe out all the enemies you can like this. Glad I went back to it.

I watched it with a mate the other night. Really enjoyed it, considering how dark and difficult to watch it was at times. Phoenix really does need to pick up awards for his work on this.

Bought a second Xbox pad in case of 2 player stuff, they had black, white and blue so went with the slightly more interesting option.

The Eurogamer review says it runs poorly on Xbox, so maybe it’s due some solid patches.

I’m on the 8th floor now. Really cool concept, but a bit stuck so might have to consult a guide.

I’m digging the jazzy soundtrack, it’s like a more melodic Miles Davis. Just done the music level, which seemed much shorter than the previous ones. I’m still finding the controls a bit finicky, but I keep forgetting to hold B to point the vacuum where Luigi walks.

Ape Out is on sale at the moment, and then I used my points and got it for free, so can’t complain.

Playing Dead Rising on my old non-HD TV was horrendous.

I’m onto floor 3, got Gooigi. A bit stuck as a key I picked up has vanished and not sure where to find it. Is the money used for anything? There’s a greyed out shop icon in the lab, I’m hoping for some cool upgrades.
