Children of Morta (Xbox One) Horizon : Zero Dawn (PS4) That might be all I’ve completed so far this year. Zero Dawn took a while. Was at least a year before I came back to it, fired up a new save, played for several hours and then went back to my old save and finished the main quest.

@mfnick - where did you get that from? I’ve been trying for months to get a copy and been sold out since the virus first fucked up China.

Finished Thor 2, which was alright. I prefer the first one but I think my interest is waning watching so many in short succession. I realised after Iron Man 3 started that I had seen it before. As soon as Ben Kingsley appeared, I remembered where the story was going. I like it, I like all the Iron Man films. I’m on the Winter Soldier now, which I can’t remember seeing but I have definitely watched the opening before, so maybe I have.

I’ve got into the turnip game for the first time on this entry. I remember either making a killing or losing a killing last time around. I got mine today for 106 bells so if anyone can do much better than that, let me know. I’m gonna aim for at least 150 before I sell.

I’m doing that order, bar the TV shows, shorts and going back and forth with post-credits sequences. I’m currently half way through Avengers, which I have seen before. The only film so far that’s new has been Captain Marvel, which has been fine. I like both Iron Man films so far and the first Thor. Can’t remember if I’ve seen the second Thor or not.

So I’m part the way through my MCU journey. I’m watching in the chronological order, not release order, which I’m not sure I would recommend, as a complete newcomer would have stuff spoiled for them by things like the post credits sequences. Started with Captain America, which I’ve seen before and I enjoyed then and I enjoyed now. Then Captain Marvel, which was alright - not bad, not amazing. Then the first two Iron Man films, which I’ve seen before and I like both of them. I started Thor before I went to bed, also seen before. I’m mostly just looking forward to End Game, even though I largely know what happens due to just the nature of the internet that spoilers spill out as everyone assumes that everyone has seen it, so I know some bits and pieces.

Mandolorian is great from the 4 or so episodes I watched. I believe they’re rolling them out weekly over here to stop people from firing up their trial, binging the lot and then cancelling, which is fair enough. I’m well behind on the MCU, so I signed up today and am watching in chronological order, so I’m nearly done on Captain America, which I have seen before. I might sprinkle in some classic Disney films here and there, like Jungle Book, Robin Hood, etc.

I finished it about an hour ago. I didn’t think I could find a crazier story than the one in Don’t Fuck With Cats, but Tiger King is truly insane and they all deserve to be taken out back and shot in the face.

Yeah I found the bunny to begin with. I think I’m just gonna craft all the stuff I can and see what happens. Just spent about an hour grinding out the stuff for the new houses. Wasn’t too bad, but I had to buy some apples as I didn’t have many that I hadn’t already sold. I’m currently building a music room in the back of my house. I think I did the same on the DD version. At the moment I just have guitar and amp, but I remember getting a grand piano at some point.

I’m a few episodes through Tiger King. Boy, that thing has some plot twists! Granted, I’d had a smoke beforehand, but really hard to keep track of all of the crazy going on. My conclusion so far is that they’re all crazy and as bad as each other.

So the eggs.... Are you meant to just collect a load of them or use them only to create the bunny DIY projects? So far I’ve found multiple versions of 6 different types and 2 different recipes but not used them to create them just yet.

I hopped to Mark’s earlier so I now have orange trees planted. Nearly paid off my second mortgage.

Got the items needed to see the higher up parts of the island. I hope terraforming turns up soon so I can flatten that bastard. Looks like it's gonna be a grind to get the next load of neighbours in - mostly it looks like a case of pure luck of what turns up in the shop.

Nier Automata is going to GP on Thursday. Unsure if this is just console or PC as well.

To be honest, I think it’s mostly down to what the fans wanted - the mantra for years has been about wanting to share an island.

100% this. This is absolutely the game I need right now. 2 of my best friends are scattered right now, one in the Philippines, the other in Manchester. Provided the one in Manchester can find a Switch (like hen’s teeth right now), this is the game we need. Good Job looks great too, but that new version of Clubhouse Games looks perfect.

Finally the shop has opened up, so I can get the sisters clothes shop soon. Still can’t get the other items yet to let me reach the final bit of the island. Has anyone unlocked terraforming yet?

I've cancelled my premium on the site. Partly trying to cut down on outgoings but also due to so many things available to watch or listen to, I'm only catching the odd GB thing here and there. There's also the 7ft tall elephant in the room. I pressed the button to tell them not to continue with my premium when it runs out and it asked me to give a reason why. I didn't want to be that dick, so I just ignored it and pressed on. It came up for a second time asking why, so I just put, "Ben was a really bad hire, sorry!". I feel bad for the dude and those that work with him that must be hearing that quite a lot, but it would be like putting me on a camera and expecting me to be as polished and charismatic as the others. He's just no good, and like Apple Arcade, I just can't justify the cost right now, so it has to go.

I played the DS version for a full year, really hammered it, so I had no intention of going back in for the last few releases. Due to the current worldwide situation, I thought I might as well play something warm and pleasant and it's great being back. I like the new additions, or I presume they're new anyway. I'm on my second house now, just put up enough materials to get the shop. Hopefully I can get bridges and ladders soon. My village (the mighty Poo Island, same as the DS version) has apples as the native fruit, but I'm also growing peaches and coconuts. If you see me on, I might well have my village open and you're welcome to hop in and steal anything that I haven't already sold.

I played a bunch of this the other month with a mate and we both loved it. Couldn’t get very far in it, but it’s a great Megadrive style classic and they’ve done a good job of doing a new Contra, especially after the actual new Contra is meant to be so terrible.

I really don’t think it’s a problem with the direction of where the plot exists, it’s more a problem with how the story is told. You had one film set out the new characters and story, next film does all it can to switch expectations, then the final film scrambles to undo the previous film and cram in as much as it can to race towards the finish. It could’ve been a completely different story but it wouldn’t have made a difference if it wasn’t planned out well enough. All it needed was someone competent at the top with a good vision to map out the trilogy properly and tell a good story.

It’s a mess, but I still found enjoyment to be had that I couldn’t get from TLJ. I would hope that those in charge will learn from this and actually plan ahead what will happen. Supposedly, Rhian Johnson asked JJ where he should go with his film, and JJ said, “do whatever, there’s nothing set in stone”. What Disney should’ve done is hire Lucas to map out the ideas of where the trilogy should go, but have a bunch of “no” men to edit down his nonesense. Such a great start to the trilogy, even if it was a remake, but they pissed all the goodwill up the wall and made 2 messes.

I’ve booted this back up and gone right into the most recent save which is somewhere near the start of the last expansion. Could be the fancy new TV, but it looks so vibrant and colourful. Still struggling to get back into the controls, I’ve forgotten all I learnt. Instead of calling the horse, I downed some potions. And then in an attempt to get off the horse, I pulled out my swords in a town and got killed by guards. I’d be tempted to start from scratch, but not sure if you can have multiple saves. Plus, it’s a massive game to start all over again.
