  1. It's very similar to Advance Wars unfortunatly, I think they're made by the same developer. A good summery of Fire Emblem would be "Advance Wars with RPG elements".
  2. If I was you, I would probably wait for the full game. The Dual Shock 3 will be out and maybe a few more games. I don't know how big the Prologue is but I wouldn't imagine it to be that big. To buy a PS3 for a portion of a game isn't the best idea in the world. But, if you do have the spare monies and if it brings you some enjoyment then why not? It's ok to throw caution to the wind every now and then. Sorry for the devil and angel on your shoulder type advice, it doesn't help.
  3. I never finished the GC one, I think I got far though, it might not be a bad idea to go back and do it. There is some time consuming games that have come out aswell as this one, I'd say I am nearly half-way through Lost Oddyssey and I've just ordered Odin Sphere for the PS2, I also have my eye on Persona 3 aswell as Fire Emblem. There is literally not enough time in the world at the mo.
  4. I was looking forward to Condenmed 2, but now I'm just :S An average review from Edge, a good one here and I've just come from Destructoid which said it was a disgrace. I have also noticed a slight drop in quality, could just be an iffy period.
  5. It's out tommorrow you know. I like these games, I don't have a huge passion for them but I'm interested in it, just another backburner type game I suppose. I'm lead to believe that it's the same as any other entry in the series, is any one else going to bother with this samey but likely entertaining game?
  6. Both No More Heroes and the Freelaoder are on the way. Also no work next week.
  7. I got the impression that Geist and Odama were shite, hence why they were overlooked, a rare case of justice.

  10. 80's, yes actually. Aerosmith, I'm struggling to get excited about that one.
  11. Criticism for the Pheonix Wright games is that they are all the same so I can see why Apollo Justice would get a low score, I don't agree, I like Pheonix Wright, but I understand why some may find that a problem. As for Layton, I've yet to play it so I can't comment, allthough Gamestm gave it the same score, I'll have to root that issue out and see what they think it's missing. Most reviews for Layton seem to be possative though and Edge are often contraversial.
  12. You can only get GH2 and 3 for the 360, but some songs from the first one are available as DLC. yes, I would recomend all GH games, funds allowing.
  13. I enjoyed the first condemned game, I hope it's still enjoyable despite that average rating. I'm loving Lost Oddssey myself but I can totally see things wrong with it so a 7 seems fair enough.
  14. Double post cherry finally popped. I recently got a new laptop because my old one went and forgot everything and was generally unreliable. But that meant I needed to rip my CD collection again and I've slowly been getting through it. This means I've been trying out some more tracks, and since I've ventured into some more mainstream stuff I've realised how obsesivly people must play this. Being a gamer I obviously have a soft spot for Muse and I have been trying out a couble of songs from Black Holes and Revelations, Some of these scores are spectacular, four times better that mine usually. So I'm going to find the most unusual songs I have and top the scoreboards. Saying that, My score for the pretentious mix of LCD Soundsystem - Yeah was beat by a girl.
  15. I sometimes wonder if I'm missing anything on the telly when I'm dashing out the house, late for work as usual. Seems I'm not, excellent.
  16. I havn't finished it either, I just stopped playing it, must get back to it oneday, well, maybe I will.
  17. I've found that when I buy some new music I always try out a few tracks on this aswell, looks like AudioSurf is going to be a stayer. Tracks I enjoy playing for kicks are My Bloody Valentine - Soon, British Sea Power - Waving Flags and Asobi Seksu - Red Sea. The latter being intense as hell so you spend most of the time going down a very red and tunneled hill.

At the moment I will have to say: Lost Odyssey Team Fortress 2 (or Orange Box if you like) I predict No More Heroes will turn up in that list too. *EDIT, I've been playing Patapon a little too but I don't wanna vote for that cos I'm just not feeling it.:S
  19. I've been playing it for a few hours now, I've been through a lengthy tutorial but I think I'm starting to scratch the surface of the game. Its all great at the moment, the story is, generally speaking, pretty decent and the dream sequances are even a nice enough read for even an illiterate fuckwit like myself to enjoy, but you have the voice acting, its not as bad as the "Tails of" games or the dreadful Baiten Kaitos, but it is like Mass Effect never happened. The way in which you learn skills is very similar to Final Fantasy IX and Tactics Advanced so I took to it pretty well, thats usually a big hurdle for me when it comes to JRPG's and the combat is a usual late 90's affair. The only problam I have is that it really does feel like an old game despite the graphic's, but even they are not the best the 360 has seen, infact there was a point when I thought it was 9 years ago, playing FF8 when I should of had that English homework done.
  20. Johnny Minkley huh. He must know what he's talking about because he did try to recomend Outrun 2 over one of the Need for Speed games to the idiots of the world, so he can't be that bad. It also must be hard to talk about games opposite that clueless, middle-aged, bandwagon jumping thicky.
  21. Hendo wrote: BOOOO! That be a mans game.
  22. I have a definative list now. Devil May Cry 4 - xbox360 Pheonix Wright: *Justice for All - DS AudioSurf - PC I know, I am way behind with the Pheonix Wright series. *edit, dunno how I voted for the wrong Pheonix game.
  23. They've been getting a guy in to talk about games once a month or so for quite some time now, I seem to remember him talking about Twilight Princess, basically saying it's a gorgeous and epic adventure game, which Jo Whiley in her infinate wisdom just pipped up and said "so you just walk around waving your remote". What was worse is he eventually agreed.

Oh great. So this game is great. I played the demo and I do like it, very much so, but this will be my 20th or so XBLA game if I do get it. I was hoping to calm down with downloads.
  25. I could live with playwantbin, it's just a name and aslong as the website still has the same mentallity then there is no real problem. I may never like it but a rose by any other name would smell as sweet.
