I wonder if they could just release games as soon as they go gold if we need to go all digital this year. For instance The Rise of Skywalker has been released early on digital stores. I dunno, just a thought.

Yeah does Jeff play anything other than Mario, seems not. I'd like to see Rorie and Jan get a FFXIV stream going. The charity thing they did before where they did the Ivalice raids drunk was a lot of fun to watch. Also it's less isolating to watch a multiplayer game

WRT "I can't see it happening" I'd disabuse yourself of thinking nothing like that can happen with this thing. Supply chain issues is still a risk But DOOM and Remake VII will be fine I would imagine.

Imagine how much more shit this would be if video games didn't exist. I know there are other ways to entertain yourself but games are such a powerful way to distract yourself from bullshit, like this thing we have right now.

Hell yea west and east coast beastcast with prepper Vinny. Silver linings and all.

Stop DOOM mongering dangerman. ? I think digital will be big this year.

That trailer makes me happy. Icon of Sin. John Romero lives in the same city as me but I've never seen him around. Wonder if his head is still in this.

Sorry if it's my grammar, I mean I found it interesting cause it's the first I'd heard that Sony might not have been happy with how DS turned out.

Dusk Golem, the Resident Evil leaker guy, says that Death Stranding didn't do so well https://www.resetera.com/threads/rumor-sony-rebooting-silent-hill-series.174815/page-8 Actually this might belong in the Silent Hill thread too, but this is interesting WRT Death Stranding being a bummer for Sony (allegedly)

I think Quiet Place 2 is out now also, but it's not going to do well with this going on. VOD seems like one of those potentially recession/pandemic-proof industries. People need shit to do if they're stuck inside.

Pretty weird stream. The east coast guys were streaming something and CBS offices got evacuated for virus stuff. Bit scary. They still trucked on and played a terrible wrestling game about rappers I hope we get some really stupid solo playthroughs. Jeff and his wife playing FFX, or something like that.

With all these movies being delayed and new measures and stuff I wonder if we could see stuff just get released straight to digital. Like that James Bond film. At some point that just makes a lot of sense I think.

Giantbomb are transitioning to WFH soon, says they're going to try lots of new things.

For me gameplay wise it is a little too frustrating, but the main reason I dropped it first is I got lost and it's very hard to figure out where to go in this game. I'll definitely start it again soon I think. But it needs a difficulty slider. I'm not interested in challenge in a third person shooter game like this.
-
Surprised you're into it. I've got it on PC now so might start it again. The ray tracing on it is too much for my GPU lol. Do you kind of feel like it has a made for TV vibe, like a 90s Stephen King miniseries. But in a good way I mean

I think of FFXIII a lot like the first Assassin's Creed. There's a great game there undermined by how it's all put together. The worst thing about it was how you had two party members for most of the game until chapter 10, I think. Then it actually turned into a proper video game with the Barthandelus fight and it's unfortunate that it couldn't just let loose like that earlier. I've wondered about XIII-2 but it runs epically awful on PC and Lightning Returns just looks very weird. The combat seems like something I might like though.

Damn, Panzer Dragoon Saga. Sometimes I think of buying that game just to own it and be a smug fucker.

Final Fantasy XIII is ten years old today https://kotaku.com/in-defense-of-final-fantasy-xiii-1840487354/amp?__twitter_impression=true Nice things I can say about FFXIII: Great combat system and it's back in VII remake (sort of). Also Lightning looks cool. (Och please don't do the Final Fantasy expert thing >_<)

Final Fantasy VII Remake (NO ROCHE SLANDER)

Max von Syndow is dead. Most famous for his role as one of the priests in the Exorcist and challenging Death itself in a game of chess in the Seventh Seal. Had a very small (strangely so) role in The Force Awakens at the beginning. RIP

I would honestly just say jump straight into U2 and forget the other two. U1 was boring imo even back in the day, U2 was a big improvement (hence my surprise at Blakey saying its one of his most underwhelming games).

Final Fantasy VII Remake (NO ROCHE SLANDER)

One tip I'd give to bellow about the combat is to watch the tooltip on the boss which tells you what attack it is about to do. FFXIV does a similar thing, this feels based on that. -
VII is a game I tried to go back to on PS4. I said I was going to platinum it cause it's an easy plat and my favourite game, I thought. But I did not enjoy it going back. I think because the only distinguishing thing between party members are their limits and there's just not a lot of interesting materia mix ups until the end of the game. It's a cool story you can experience a few times maybe but it's very hard for me now to feel the strong feelings I had while playing it then Which is impacting my excitement for the Remake cause I didn't really have a lot of strong emotions with the demo. It either feels too different or sterile compared to VII or VII itself doesn't have that magic anymore. What the Remake does have though is an incredible combat system so I am excited for that and how later characters like Yuffie, Vincent and even Cait sith will be managed.

I've actually never met anyone who was disappointed with Uncharted 2 before ?
