  1. Coming to Switch I still need to finish this up. I just burned out on that Blackbitter Isle stuff but I do still want to try the other classes But now the question is do I put that off and do a magic-centric build on Switch?
  2. It sounds like it will just be the Nero demo again with more arms. The one I played in London had more arms than that Xbox store one anyway. I thought this was interesting. Your "cameo" sounds sort of like your drivatar or something and your playstyle determines the playstyle of your "cameo". The way they transfer that stuff across and you can rate them sounds kind of like the pawn system in Dragons Dogma. Or a bit like how you see ghost of other players running around in Dark Souls. You can also play "as" your cameo, ie just do online co-op.
  3. Well they didn't ease people into KHII and that was just after one spin-off on GBA, so I'm betting they wont here either. I just don't recommend taking the story that seriously. The core KH plot is so morose and self-serious. Lots of cutscenes edgy dudes in robes talking to Mickey Mouse in grey rooms about the darkness in their souls. Just enjoy the fun Disney and FF cameos (except I think they've stopped putting FF characters in them now possibly)
  4. The thing about Alien Isolation is that kind of unscripted stalker stuff can get annoying and mess with the game a bit. I was thinking about this remake earlier and how Nemesis is the best chaser enemy they've done. But he's totally scripted (with some small things that vary). But I think that tightly controlling all those encounters worked in its favour. I just wonder if the hardcoded behaviour makes for more interesting enemies than ones that are more dynamic and unpredictable like the Bakers in VII who I just found really annoying and unthreatening Anyway there's a demo probably coming out on Friday, but it's so close to release that it seems a bad idea to play a demo now.
  5. I was watching some leaked footage of this. It makes me want to play it. Environments look really big and complicated, but in a good way. I'll probably skip it at release tho as REII is out then.
  6. Mr X is probably like the Baker father in REVII.
  7. The trophy list is out so it seems like there are copies out there https://www.resetera.com/threads/resident-evil-2-trophy-achievement-list-revealed-open-spoilers.91477/

    TV Shows

Good Place starts off rocky and too twee but gets a lot better later. It makes me want to read Kant and all that stuff but I remember trying that before and spending an hour reading two pages and wanting to die.
  9. The thing I wonder is if there's a secret Nemesis tease in there. That's the one cool thing you wouldn't want to get spoiled... if it's a thing. At this point I accept I will have every video game spoiled for me. I'll probably see a thumbnail of the final boss to DMC before the game even ships.
  10. RE2 is on storeshelves in some countries. I'm guessing if you've watched any RE/Capcom videos recently in YouTube you're going to be seeing some spoilers in thumbnails. We're at that part of the hype cycle already ??
  11. Really the best one is XIV cause when they made it first and it was shit Square summoned Bahamut to destroy the shit game and replace it with an excellent one which is an amazing feat that I'm sure will never happen again . Anyway you do need to watch that film. Yes it's a refresh of evil empire wants a crystal but it introduces the villain and there are major baddy characters in XV who have literally just got one scene in the game but are still important players in the plot but with no real in-game explanation of who they are or why they're important cause they took their parts out of the game and put it in a film instead and just acted like you should recognise them already.
  12. Best thing about XV is the food Rest is eh They take pictures of their food and share selfies. you'll like it maf it's made for millenial type minds.
  13. I go in for my daily puff puff and these guys look at me like I just skinned their grandma and ate her. I am enjoying this but it's not something I can sit in front of for long and look at without some other distraction. I've gotten to the point now where even "harder monsters" isn't really that hard.
  14. I couldn't play Zelda properly until I got the Pro, the con nubs just keep clicking in all the time. The spongy face buttons are much better for Bayo also. That controller has a great battery life too. Wish I could use it on PS4
  15. Maf Again I'll point out that you can get the satchels another way later and you don't need hunting for completionist (I think...) I saw a badger once. I can't remember if I skinned one or not. You are not going to find or do any of that in a time efficient way so you might as well give up if the idea of staring at grass and leaves for minutes on end is taking its toll. Staying in the same area for close to an hour trying to catch something and not being spotted yourself. None of RDR's systems are friendly or respectful of your time, least of all the hunting. It's the most "fuck you" AAA game I can think of in recent years. Maybe you can see now why it's so divisive. As for the HDR it just boosts the values but still keeps it in a limited range, or something like that? It's not HDR, it's faked or something according to a of articles. So turn it off. It's occurred to me also you might still be on chapter two. Chapter two is a long ass tutorial so it's good to progress past it as quickly as possible.
  16. Stop hunting it's clear you don't like it. I only dug the hunting cause it gave me a reason to explore I couldn't find elsewhere. Outside the corny stranger interactions and rail-roaded missions the hunting was the only thing that worked for me. Just turned off all the HUD and went FPS mode using the signs only to navigate the world and got my hunting rifle and off I git ? I'm going to tell you this. You can get the satchels without hunting. There's another way apparently. Just not yet Edit I didn't bother much with the legendary hunting cause of the arcane spawn conditions and rubbish looking rewards. Just not as motivating a reason to explore as pulling a racoons arse inside-out and turning it into a pretty man-bag ?
  17. Motivation for when I get better and can exercise again Look at those delts ? Someone get this hotto-head outta here
  18. Big pelts are one only on your horse You can bring a second horse and use it as a second store but that seems unreliable. Largely it's going to go like you kill a 3 star elk or whatever and then try and get back carefully but quickly to Dutch. Don't do the hunting unless you actually enjoy it. Never use cinematic camera to bring shit back , cinematic camera is shit.
  19. Well I've watched all of them and provided reasons for what I think rather than a witty MCU quip. Also I don't like the newest one ?
  20. They really lost the momentum with nu Star Wars real quick. Maybe when the IX trailer comes out it picks up again but it's definitely not a repeat of MCU success so far. TLJ was a great looking film, best since the first one. But it's a mess of uninteresting plots getting in the way of the really vital stuff you want to follow and the chin-stroking meta-narrative of "leaving behind the old ways" isn't really that interesting. A good example of a film which manages to do that sort of thing and have it fuel the action is Skyfall imo. The thematic metaphors were very strained in that film but every scene always felt like it had purpose while TLJ left me feeling rudderless as a viewer (albeit TLJ is trying for something "smarter"). I've watched that film twice now and still don't like it. At least on time two I had a phone to distract me from the crap bits with Finn, Poe and Rose.
  21. I was watching someone stream Code Veronica and I forgot how much bullshit is in that game All the puzzles and their solutions are so spread out so it has 10 times the backtracking of other REs. And enemies repsawn constantly ?
  22. Maf mentioned this I think but the problem with the day/night cycle isn't that it's too short, it's that the transition is too fast It's a normal length video game day/night cycle but I've went into gun shops in that game in broad daylight and come out in pitch black. It's really weird.
  23. The weight mechanics are unforgiving and you should just give up on them I actually think they are slightly broken cause otherwise I can't easily understand why I put so much food in Morgan but he always goes underweight. I get that the penalty is minor but he looks sick during cutscenes
