I reckon it’ll sell just because people will be desperate for something new and shiny to show off their PS5 with. A reason why I’m surprised there’s not more SX and PS5 only games instead of all the cross gen stuff. Sure there’s less overall potential sales but you’re guaranteed a good sales number on the new console when they’re just released. Regardless, I still think £70 is a mistake for this though.

Probably Super Meat Boy, but can’t say for sure how many hours I’ve spent on that. Otherwise there’s a lot of JRPG’s I’ve put around 70 hours such as Persona 5, FFVII Remake, Shining The Holy Ark etc. Panzer Dragoon Saga will be way up there too. That’s a very long game and I completed it numerous times when I was young including a couple of times where I 100%’d every map.

Yea fuck the £70 price point. £50-55 is my max and that’s for MEGA OMG HYPE! Games not this. Around £25 and I’ll give it a go. Possibly. Ew roguelikes.

Gutted, I’d just got together some more of my rarer PS3 games ready to sell when it got shut down. In all seriousness though, this is great news. Thank fuck for that. Still shown their hand and God knows how long the “foreseeable” future will end up being but this is a genuinely fantastic to hear.

This is £8 on Xbox at the minute. Highly recommended. I’ve just repurchased it on there at that price so I can use my wheel

Physical the vast majority of time for me. Just the last 2 PS5 games I bought I saved £50 just on the asking price. Then sold them on and saved a further £70. £140 to buy them digitally, in the end I payed £20 to experience both. I don’t care how convenient it is, I’ll never pay above £50 for a digital copy of a game. I have definitely started buying more digitally though as I’m happy to wait most of the time and they finally started doing good sales mid way through last gen. If they’ve got a good deal on the digital version I’ll happily buy that one now whereas before I’d still refuse to buy the digital version even if it was cheap. I’ve definitely come round a bit more. I’m very wary of buying digital games on Playstation now though - in fact I have been since they were so non commital about PS4 games working on the PS5. Recent developments have just cemented this. I’ll wait and buy the Xbox version when available. Game Pass should be mentioned with this too. Basically I’m buying less games and experiencing more I wouldn’t have tried because of that service. With all the convenience of digital and none of the cost drawbacks (apart from when they’re removed - a which reminds me of another example of the cost issue, Darksiders 3 was removed, it was £45 on the Xbox store - I payed £5 on ebay then sold on when done for the same). It’s fantastic as a service.

Only just watched that upgrades vid. Is this going to be open world? I fucking hope not. I really can’t be arsed with hunting animals in yet another game. Especially a Resi Evil. Getting a bit worried now.

No 1080p 60 option in Series S? Mental. Glad I kept my One X for my spare on 1080p screen.

I’ll wait for reviews for HoTD before getting exited then. Could be ok. I do use a Pro controller but if I’m using TV I’d much rather play on the Xbox or PS. & even the hori split pad isn’t good enough for that type of game in handheld. Plus the face buttons are the wrong way round too and it fucks me up for hours everytime I try to use it. I spend more time concentrating on where the button is rather than the game. I just don’t like using it to be honest.

Man I fucking hate the narrators on these Nintendo things. Aerial Knights looks fun. I really hope Olli Olli World comes to another platform. Same with Forgotten Gods, that looks pretty fucking good. But I want a better controller for these. Plus achievements and trophies make all the difference for me when playing those type of games. Skul looked great but it’s a Roguelike so meh. Same with GetsuFumaDen, that looked amazing but since heard Thats a rogue like too. Gutted. Cant wait for HoTD but not sure how they’re going to make it work without a light gun?

Outrun 2006 C2C is brilliant. & yes that vinyl artwork is something else. Wow.

I used rest mode once near the time when I bought it while playing Miles Morales. It didn’t end well. Had to unplug the console to get it working again. Used it a couple of times on Demons Souls when I had to or lose progress and it worked ok when left for a couple of hours but still wary lol.

Are we allowed to use wired internet and rest mode yet?

Wasteland 3 Damn shame this one! Put about 5-6 hours in. Really liked the world building and characters, loved the brutality of it, the combat system is a great riff on X Com. All good. Then I died. It doesn’t auto save. Progress completely gone. Deleted.

I definitely lean more 3rd person shooter. Especially One/PS4 gen, I’ve barely played any first person games. But really I don’t mind, so whichever is best for the game you’re making. As for favourites. 3rd Person - Vanquish at number 1. After that’s it’s basically the mainline Gears games. In particular 3 & 5. Uncharted 4 if that counts? 1st Person - Probably CoD 4 at number 1. After that it’s Bad Company 2, Titanfall 2, DOOM Eternal and Modern Warfare 3 - yes MW3. I know people don’t like that one but I thought the campaign was brilliant OTT fun.

Completed last night. Luckily it only took 4.5-5 hours. It didn’t really improve much for me at all. It was ok but I did find it boring for the majority of time but with the odd interesting moments. 6/10
