  1. In regards to the DF video, it's pretty bonkers that PS5 is effectively running the game at PC's Ultra Settings, I said in the other thread that graphically it looks insane and this explains why. Just a ridiculously gorgeous video game.
  2. 1 million concurrent players is impressive, I'm not exactly sure what it means or if that's good but if the PR are putting it out there I assume it is.
  3. I wasn't aware of any performance issues on PS5, I'm only about 3 hours in but the game runs like butter so far. I know Act 3 is meant to be a bit janky on PC though but I'm far from getting to that point.
  4. Played the first couple of hours last night, up to some derelict space station on the first planet you go to after the Mining Colony, so very early in. Impressions are mixed its fair to say. Graphically, it's a bit disappointing, it looks and feels like a last-gen game to me, the facial animations in conversations are pretty terrible and have a decidedly last-gen feel to them, you just don't get that nuance in facial expression you do from the likes of BG3 and FFXVI (both of which I'm playing with this concurrently). It's definitely an improvement from Fallout 4 back in 2015 or so but yeah, serviceable but not fantastic by any means. Definitely not a current-gen showpiece, graphically at least. The rest has been pretty good. Combat feels ok so far, like Fallout without VATS (I wish VATS was in here under another name or something) and the general exploration and adventuring is as good as ever, how they make it so satisfying to just open lockers and find shit I'll never know lol. It definitely reminds me way more of Fallout than TES at the moment, even the kooky robot is similar, I called my character Sally Orgasmo and the robot went 'welcome back captain orgasmo', that gave me a right chuckle. Early days though, but yeah, a mixed first impression its fair to say but I have enjoyed my time with it and look forward to learning more as time goes on, it also passed the 'I haven't drunk any water' test which is a good sign. After all these years it's just so nice to play a BGS game again. Pics:
  5. Lovely stuff, I'm in Japan when this comes out so will pick up a copy out there, would've gone digital if I was in the UK though to play this at midnight.
  6. If anyone has an AmEx card, they're doing an offer at the moment where you get £100 off a £400+ spend at the Microsoft store, so pretty decent, £100 off a Series X etc.
  7. Wow, a non-Nintendo EDGE 10! No lies detected based on the (very little) I've played.
  8. Temporary setup just for Starfield 😂
  9. Finished off Demon Slayer last night, I kind of feel diminishing returns with it as its gone on but overall I really enjoyed it. The battle sequences are by far and away the highlight though, I love how earnest and sincere Tanjiro & co are, there's a lot of heart in the show. Not sure when S5 will be out but I'll be there. Now to make a start on One Piece, hoping to get S1 done by the time I fly to Japan.
  10. I'm still getting used to pretty much everything including the controls but the way all the spells and combat actions are all on L1 which then brings up about 4 different wheels to select from all with spells is not intuitive to say the least, but it does work, it's just a bit of a faff really, especially having all the spells nicely laid out in the PC version with KB&M. But yeah, I get his point about feeling more involved with a controller than more of a god game/isometric cam on PC with KB&M.
  11. Bit of a clickbaity headline, but I do get his points, I would like to try it on PC for myself at some point though but know that's unlikely to happen.
  12. That game has always looked ass to me, hopefully I'm proven wrong.
  13. There is at least a demo out for this, I'm not sure anyone has played it though.
  14. Reveal trailer is here. Out November 3rd, October 31st for early access. £44.99 RRP.
  15. Not surprising, big games sell consoles.
  16. 7/10 from IGN though, total shite. In all seriousness, now Starfield is almost here I'm pretty excited to try it, the other two I won't bother with though.
  17. Yeah, the right decision, everything getting out the way of Spidey 2 🕸️
