Hendo Posted December 22, 2006 Share Posted December 22, 2006 So, the Browser beta: I'm on it now! Feels weird, you can definitely tell it's not the proper version. Feels a bit empty. Hey ho. No tabs, no options, no history, just favourites, back, forward, etc. And the site is too un-readable at normal view so you have to zoom in. Just been on youtube and it works fine. I wonder if Nintendo have blocked porn sites....... Stupidly, there's no "enter address" button unless you're on the start up page. So you have to go there if you haven't already put the address in your favourites. And using this predictive text thing, every time I use a full stop it adds .com onto it. Aaaaagh! It really is above and beyond the call of duty Let me be the first person to say, Ive deleted my Opera browser. It was okay, but seeing as i have to connect my PC to the net to go online with my Wii... which are right next to each other, theres just no point. And I'll certainly be getting the full version. My problem is that it needs to be a bloody good browser when it's finished if they're gonna be (eventually) selling it. Personally, it's a nice idea but it's never upto date (it's last updated usually 12 hours before I'm on it), the town selections are bizarre, there's few places to view outside of your own country and I'm not even sure the weather is right. However, I have heard that a nice touch is that the stars on the globe view are not at all random, but the actual placement of the real constellations and such. illdog wil be pleased! Also, there's talk that the weather in your place will affect games! I think Madden currently uses this. Anyways, I'm not that keen on this, and it'll be one of the first channels to move onto the second page when my first page gets filled up. Still, no harm in it being there really.
