Hendo
Man, I wish I was there. Watching some highlights on the iPlayer from yesterday - La Roux had the singer from Heaven 17 come on and they did "Temptation" which was pretty good, apart from his mic being too quiet at the beginning. Apparently Gorillaz blew the place away. Willie Nelson was pretty disappointing, just seemed lacklustre and boring. Bombay Bicycle Club were really good of what I saw of them, they had a calypso band join them.
Cyberpunk
I just watched the Gorillaz set in Iplayer, and it blew me away. Such a good set. I saw their Manchester concert a while ago, and it was good, but nothing on this outing. A great selection of songs, including some I never heard before, and Snoop Dogg finishing up with them on Clint Eastwood was great.
retroed
Apparently Gorillaz blew the place away. They certainly did. Watching Pet Shop Boys at the moment, quality stuff.
Cyberpunk
Watching Pet Shop Boys at the moment, quality stuff. Yeah, I'm watching that too. And recording Muse. Although I would've thought Pet Shop Boys is more my era, mate.
retroed
I love a bit of Pet Shop Boys. Heard enough of Muse in recent times, good to see some PSB.
Hendo
Did anyone watch Ellie Goulding? <object width="640" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UrHEB8CifZA&hl=en_GB&fs=1&"></param><param'>http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UrHEB8CifZA&hl=en_GB&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UrHEB8CifZA&hl=en_GB&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="640" height="385"></embed></object> The ending is brilliant. Cyberpunk
A great set from Pet Shop Boys. Including a Coldplay cover, and a couple hundred grey cardboard boxes. I saw them live in 1992. They get better as they get older.
retroed
Yeah, I saw Ellie. Muse feat. The Edge!
Sly Reflex
I'll be rocking the fucking shit out of this on iplayer when it is all done, can cut the chaff then. Only problem is that from what people are saying there'll be very little chaff to cut.
Cyberpunk
Be quickish Sly. I believe it's on Iplayer for only 6 days or so.
Hendo
You can download from the iPlayer though, and apparently, you can strip the DRM off those files to play them whenever you want.
Hendo
Downloaded the Muse set from the iPlayer - it's over 2 gig in size! I can't help think I'd have been better off just watching highlights on youtube.
Cyberpunk
I know it's part of the Glastonbury vibe, but those flags make it hard for the unlucky sober people to watch at home, sometimes.
HandsomeDead
I saw Gorrilaz on the iPlayer, they were pretty good, though it was late and the telly was turned down a bit, it could of done with being pumped up some what. I want to see The Flaming Lips and LCD Soundsystem's sets but They aren't showing much beyond the headliners on the BBC. May have to hit youtube for those. Hendo
There isn't much there yet of Flaming Lips, but I did find this. <object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cQgPYPbJsXQ&hl=en_GB&fs=1&"></param><param'>http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cQgPYPbJsXQ&hl=en_GB&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cQgPYPbJsXQ&hl=en_GB&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object> I really wish I'd have been there for Stevie. <object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fPSyRFY0ghQ&hl=en_GB&fs=1&"></param><param'>http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fPSyRFY0ghQ&hl=en_GB&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fPSyRFY0ghQ&hl=en_GB&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object> <object width="640" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Krcec9EXkkQ&hl=en_GB&fs=1&"></param><param'>http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Krcec9EXkkQ&hl=en_GB&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Krcec9EXkkQ&hl=en_GB&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="640" height="385"></embed></object>
Hendo
Went through Stevie's set last night, brilliant stuff apart from Michael Eavis on the mic for "Happy Birthday" but we can let him off for that, not because he's the reason it exists in the first place, but because he has an upside down head. Also, Orbital were back to close the Other Stage and they had Matt Smith on with them for the Doctor Who theme. He seemed to be doing something on stage (playing wise) but no idea whether he was or not. <object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yF_R5UJGt-g&hl=en_GB&fs=1&"></param><param'>http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yF_R5UJGt-g&hl=en_GB&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yF_R5UJGt-g&hl=en_GB&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object>
