  1. I wonder if i liked it more because of nostalgia or the music/graphics, hard to say. Or maybe i had low expectations after playing jsr(f) quite recently. i ended up playing for maybe 10 hours more after finishing the game, doing the high five challenges, unlocking extra characters etc, a lot of that stuff is not well signposted and the map is not easy to navigate for post credits stuff so i was following youtube guides a lot.
  2. I like mfnick’s saturn mini idea, id go for an n64 and dreamcast mini too. id like a new pgr game (or driveclub) both very unlikely , and m2 shottriggers versions of armed police batrider, and mushihimesama futari - much more chance of these.
  3. thanks @retroed for the heads up this is £3 something on eshop, checked xbox and it's the same
  4. ^ yeah rivers in the desert is awesome got it as samba de amigo dlc the other day
  5. returnal - i liked it although it's not for everyone, maybe check out a review or something awesome controller choice shinymcshine

    Roller Drome

Yeah i finished this, but with heavy use of the assists, Recon it would be really hard, and much longer, without those, but can see its sort of designed to be played more getting better at it over time, which i also might have enjoyed had i been in the mood for that. Really enjoyed it anyway.
  7. I barely watch any films these days, but watched a few over the last few days, one was oppenheimer, as above i also didnt think it was amazing, i also didnt think it was crap though, middle of the road for me i guess. Also got round to watching avatar 2, im one of the few people who liked the first film, didnt think the second was as good, its more of a straight action movie but still enjoyed it, more so towards the end. The 3d is cool, possibly that carried it a bit for me.

    Roller Drome

trying to catch up on stuff i've missed during the year, started this on gamepass, i really like it, but i'm really bad at it. think i did the first 2 levels or so then got stuck around level 3 just keep dying, you have to be dodging all the time and with everything else going on it's easy to miss, and then when your dodging it interrupts trying to do other stuff like tricks or shooting. also like DANGERMAN says the roller skating handling is more realistic/odd or something i don't know but it's much harder to go in the direction you want to go than something like bomb rush, like a quite simple looking platforming challenge to get a pickup/token thing took me ages, and finding it quite easy to accidentally fall off the map. so yeah anyway there are some good difficulty options to turn damage down or off etc so i've done that and back to really enjoying it again. why i like it - the action is just really cool, doing tricks shooting bad guys in slow motion etc. looks nice too imo. also Rollerdrome to help with searches.
  9. Great paint job on the case! this falls into a similar category to a steamdack and analogue pocket for me, i think they are really cool and i want one, but realistically i dont think i would use much so try and resist the urge to buy cool stuff that i wont use.
  10. yeah the story is self contained but my memory is so bad it's hard to say if there isn't any spoilers or not for the main game. yeah i liked strikers too.
  11. new increased game prices was pretty annoying.
  12. ^ yeah that's a good question, ray z is by m2 so i guess that's the one you want if it includes the games you want layer section has 3 names which also doesn't help - galactic attack and rayforce. apparently it's also called gunlock so 4 names! the switch page says it includes rayforce: https://www.nintendo.co.uk/Games/Nintendo-Switch-games/Ray-z-Arcade-Chronology-2394207.html is that the arcade version or saturn version (or another?) not sure, i've played the saturn version and it's good though imo. the other s-tribute one will most likely be the saturn version as afaik all the s-tribute stuff is saturn games and some apparently have bad input lag - not sure if its been fixed up though. i can't really confirm any of this as the version i ordered still isn't released edit - looking at this i think the ray z is the arcade version and s-tribute is the saturn one edit 2 - to make it even more confusing i think this physical version doesn't include it (which to be fair has a different name) https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0BXPR8B43/?th=1
  13. I think epic might be doing a free game every day for a bit for xmas, today is something called dnf duel if anyones interested. (Edit - might change to something else at 4pm)
  14. Fair enough i liked the switch version but yeah the controls arent perfect, not based on height at all for standard hits, but i think its pretty lenient so works alright. Its fun, i like it. Vr version seems better as youd expect but only had a short go so far. trombone champ is good fun too, and quite a bit cheaper, i prefered samba personally, maybe depends how funny you think fart noises are!
  15. Got the quest vr version, and yeah it seems basically the same but with better tracking. I like the menu room with various animals playing instruments behind you.
  16. Watched attack on titan now its all finished apparently, it was good, the start is really good. also your name and weathering with you are on the channel 4 on demand if anyone wants to watch them.
  17. I never went back to it as it made me a bit sick, will try again if they add teleport. Melee seemed ok to me but i only played a little, guess i dont really care about lack of feedback, i really liked the motion controls in twilight princess. the throwing the axe seemed cool but hard to aim sometimes. finished re4, that was really good in vr. theres another sale on at the moment, will probably get samba
  18. I really liked both series of fma, think theyre both the same story till around half way. cool if this new one piece is shorter
  19. if i know i want to play something i avoid as much of that stuff as i can, which is usually quite easy to avoid, but there was zelda recently with adverts everywhere which i didn't really want to see.
  20. yeah same here, played re4 and alyx both around 20 hours seemed long enough. Hope you can fix the lenses ok edit - tried it - was ok i guess, nothing amazing happened so far, combat was alright/sort of fun. no reason so far i can see why teleport wasn't included. i think tutorial messages may be appearing behind me. managed to play more than expected but did feel a bit sick by the end.
  21. ^ ill give that a try as its free with a quest 3, but it doesnt really look like my sort of thing and apparently doesnt have teleport movement, not sure you can really have a killer app that will probably make a lot of people sick.
  22. ^ in the picture it says 72mm so you're not far off with 4cm! been playing more dodonpachi doj, got a 1cc on the first 2 arrange modes which are quite easy (as they have auto bomb/hyper) except for the last boss but not a clue how scoring works so need to look into that, the 3rd arrange mode is a lot harder as it's based on the second loop but still has auto bomb/hyper. despite playing it loads before i'm also still really enjoying the arcade and black label modes, it's relentless, it's amazing. also my ps2 saturn pad broke which is a disaster as i use that for ps2, 360, and ps4 (which explains why it broke it's had so much use ~17 years old) - lucky it was the rubber part behind the dpad - replaced it with a part from a new retro-bit pad and it seems to be working ok again.
  23. Tried the website but privacy settings block it, got back into halo over the last year or so, so my most played will be halo by miles.

    Fortnite

Yeah its weird how rock band is now inside fortnite, i gave it a quick go, theres so few free songs you need to pay for the battle pass i guess, which i dont mind spending £15 or so on rock band, but maybe ill wait for instrument support if thats coming.
  25. ^ damn it, lolz, etc. why do they keep tempting me with special editions of stuff. You getting it? If theres a medium fancy version with just the soundtrack i think i might - well there is but doesnt seem to be on amazon so far anyway. been playing dodonpachi doj a bit, theres loads of modes, not even tried them all yet, one of the arrange modes is reasonably difficulty till the last boss which is super hard.
