@Nag This is the best method currently, according to the thread on Rllmuk which hasn't let me down yet.

My DualSense has had a floppy R2 for some time, so thought I'd do something about it. I bought some new springs from Amazon (these ones) yesterday which arrived this afternoon. Using this guide it only took me ten minutes, and whilst I was there I gave the controller a good clean. Feels like a new joypad again. Turns out the spring wasn't even in its place, and when I found it at the bottom of the pad, had snapped in half. Before: After:
