I promise I’m not taking commission but here’s another Dist mod video It’s a mod where everytime he kills any boss the game jumps up a NG+. Usually the max NG is +7, but this is uncapped. The good thing is the enemies and bosses drop souls in line with the NG+ level so some smaller bosses he gets 85k. But they do take some killing Anyway, the thing I never realised is how strong Black Flame Blade magic is. Even at this difficulty he is only resorting to using it when it gets really hard because it’s that strong. So if you’re finding this game hard there’s another broken strat

To be clear I don’t hate this game or even think it’s bad. It’s just very focused on one thing I don’t especially care about while dangling all the cool stuff I do care about almost in the background and I’m like “but let’s go over there” and the game is like “No! I want to talk to my son”

PS+ this month is amazing

Do they say that? I don’t remember. They talk about she is the greatest living soldier. But I took that to mean she’s off fighting made up battles and stuff inside real wars. I was more thinking of how they rip from the headlines and talk about stuff like the Cold War. They use it as a backdrop or a starting point for their made up crazy. Which I really like

Another thing is MGS uses real world history, politics and events to tell it’s crazy stories around, which helps make it unique and interesting Where as with other games, particularly pure fantasy stuff with orcs and factions and empires and boring. I feel like I’ve heard it all a 1000 times before

What is the single, most dangerous enemy in any RE game? Bosses and things like Nemesis doesn’t count. You have to be able to kill it. But what’s the one enemy when you have no 1 hit left and 5 bullets that makes you go oh fuck

It’s also a video game and a sort of call back to old GoW. I want to fight it Or at least an epic escape sequence. You don’t even get that. Speaking of narrative stuff, everything surrounding that monster is so stupid. I’ve been thinking more about the story in this game this morning. I just think it’s so badly done. Subjective criticism is that yes these new GoW games just aren’t want I want them to be. But also I think the writing is hokey. The set ups and pay off’s are so obvious and needed better layering in to the story. The way character’s awkwardly walk in to frame or give someone a magic thing 10mins before they need it is really weak. These 2 games have been dealing in Kratos suppressing his old self and I don’t think that ever goes anywhere. He neither hangs up the axe or goes full God of War. Also Thor is a bitch in this game, I thought he would be tougher and scarier. Also I think the one-shot thing is broken right at the end because a character gets knocked out and then they wake up later. Either way, they really fucking stretch this idea to the point it feels like cheating I’ve decided I’m not getting the platinum in this, I don’t want to play it anymore. Even though it’s supposed to be easy

It does, but they stretch it. Like there’s a bit where someone puts down a knife, the background changes, someone picks up the knife, and you’re with a different character in a different location

The ending of this game is the weakest fucking shit. GoW3 has a better end of the world battle in the opening hour than this has as it’s finale This game is so overwritten. Why does everybody have an arc? They’re supporting characters. Their job is to support the main characters Having said that, the only characters I liked by the end are Freya and Sindri. They’re the only ones who have the ferocity needed for a game called God of War This game is not bad by any means but what a whimper of an ending. I dunno, man. The game has a lot of poor writing, too. Characters walking in the scene out of nowhere. Characters stopping for a second just to give another character a magic item that will help the plot. pfffffffff No spoilers but they even set up a big monster thing at the end of the game and you don’t even get to fight it (even though there was a whole chunk of game where Kratos created it as well) I DUNNO, DUDE I played it to the end so it’s not like I hate it. But I’m really let down by it. This some weak fucking shit. I don’t hate it but I honestly feel like it’s pathetic as well The last 2 boss fights weren’t even special. They were just like all the other boss fights in the game except kinda easy (2 of the only boss fights in the game I didn’t die too) I DUNNO I really like God of War as a whole. And I don’t hate this reboot. But it needs a shot of testosterone. Not saying it’s short on action, but I need more wrathful warring going on with gods out for blood. This game is way too soft

At this point I don’t ever want them to talk about Fable again until they surprise drop it on Gamepass. Not that I’m losing sleep about it or think about it any more than when it comes up in the news. But that’s 6 years of them promising the game is coming out and nope. I’m not even disappointed, I just don’t care anymore.

I like the combat. It’s satisfying, crunchy, the boss fights are cool I’m just terrible at it 😬

The thing about being hit from behind is the red arrow is easy enough to see. But side stepping or dodging doesn’t get Kratos out of the way all the time. There are some instances where I’m mashing dodge and the red arrow is still there and I have to literally turn and sprint away. I don’t even know what I’m sprinting from. I wish there were 3 colours. Yellow = incoming, red = move, green = window to block or parry. i just hate running away and stopping fighting. Which the next thing could just be me, but I also feel like the moves and combos are just too slow. Especially for enemies that have crazy dodges or armour. I barely have time to mix things up or try stuff because everything takes too long and then I have to run away Which might just be me using the tools badly, but this is a common thing I dunno. I’m just really bad at the game. The fact I find the exploration and story quite tiring as well isn’t helping.

I’m so terrible at this game. I’ve just done 3 fights and died at everyone once before beating it I don’t know what’s happened to me. I just can’t play anything anymore. I can’t react to anything, I can’t anticipate anything, I can’t understand what weapon is best for a situation, I’m constantly overwhelmed with things hitting me from behind Sigh. Every second attempt I seem to slice the enemy up no issue but I can’t even bear regular bad guys first try
